Ankita Lokhande became a household name 12 years ago when she played the role of Archana in Pavitra Rishta. There was something about her character that won her audience’s heart. She was kind, smart, caring and her relationship with Manav (played by Sushant Singh Rajput) was simple and pure. There are very few shows in the Indian television industry that have given us such amazing female lead roles and Pavitra Rishta is defs one of them. That’s why, her fans were ecstatic when it was announced that the reboot of the show would release soon on an OTT platform.
The second season of the show premiered on Zee5 on September 15 and it was as amazing as we could have imagined. Ankita has reprised her role as Archana and Shaheer Sheikh plays the role of Manav. Both the characters have been making us nostalgic AF because they have not changed much in the last twelve years. Well, we are not the only ones who feel this way! The actress recently shared a heartfelt note on her Instagram handle and expressed her love for Archana and the show.
The actress shared a montage video on her ‘Gram that captured different emotions of Archana. She looked beautiful in casual salwar suits and vibrant sarees and we’re especially loving her subtle makeup looks. In the caption, Ankita revealed the similarities she shares with her character and everything that she has learned from her over the years.
She wrote, “Dear Archu, it’s been 12 years that we have been together. It’s been a very emotional journey with lots of ups and downs in both of our lives but we stood stronger than ever…what I hv learnt from you is patience and always believe in giving love no matter what life shows.”
Ankita also added that her character is pretty much the same as she was years ago and wrote, “I remember the day when I met u for the first time .U were nervous but confident too.. and must say u look the same 😊” Well, we totes agree on that!
The Manikarnika actress said that over the years, a lot has changed in her life, but her love for Archana remains the same. “From that day till now many things have changed but my love for archu is still the same because I really do have a Pavitra Rishta with her and with all of you who has loved Archana Deshmukh.”
Not going to lie, this note made us quite emotional! We love Ankita’s character in the reboot even more now because she takes a stand for herself and what’s right—something we wish she did more often in the OG show. But well, you know what they say, right? Better late than never!
