Let’s admit it, we’re all obsessed with our ‘Gram feeds. How else are we supposed to know about what’s happening in our favourite celebrity’s life? Their gorgeous pics, videos and reels are the major sources of our entertainment RN and we’re loving it! And, while there are a lot of celebs that make me glued to their handles, I’m particularly hooked to actress Anita Hassanandani’s Instagram feed. She makes staying at home look fun and her hilarious videos with hubby Rohit Reddy and baby boy Aaravv are proof. So obviously, we were a little heartbroken when we found out that she had decided to quit acting.
Wait, what?! Yep, that was exactly our reaction when Anita said that work was the last thing on her mind during a conversation with a leading daily. But turns out, she only meant it temporarily. The actress has planned to return to work gradually and we’re so happy to hear it!
The Yeh Hai Mohabbatein actress took to Twitter recently and put an end to all the confusion. She wrote, “A lot of fans were upset, so many were sending me screenshots saying, ‘Oh My God, you are quitting’. I clearly remember saying I didn’t know when I will return to the TV or film industry. At present, my priority is Aarav. But, whenever I’m ready and feel okay, I will get back.”
Anita said that her friends from the industry were shocked as well and found it hard to believe. While talking about them, she said, “They said why didn’t I tell them and gave out such a quote that I am leaving. I told them the same… My priority right now is my son. Acting is my first love, I didn’t want people to think it’s ‘the end’ for me. It’s my second innings now after becoming a mother. There is no way I am letting go of it.”

Earlier, Anita had said in an interview that she was focusing on her child and had no idea when she would return to work. She said, “I really don’t know when I will get back. Although I am doing some work here and there because of the contracts that I had signed with different brands. I am doing all this for social media where I am shooting at home and it is totally stress-free. I am being extremely careful too. Maybe one person will come to shoot and the person too has to have a proper test done before coming inside the house. But getting back on a full-fledged set of a TV show, I don’t know when that will happen. But I am sure when I decide to get back, people will get to know.”
We are glad that the new momma is taking all the needed precautions. While talking about her future plans, she added, “The safety measures will have to be taken. I anyway feel work is a little down. Keeping that in mind, I have to be very careful with Aarav, when I step out. I am hoping that the vaccine for kids that is being worked upon is available soon. That is one of the very important factors. I would rather not work than be in stress about my son.”
We love the fact that Anita is taking her own sweet time and not rushing into anything. But truth be told, we cannot wait to watch the amazing actress on our TV screens again!
