Ananya Panday’s New Look Is A Masterclass In Aceing Orange-Hued Makeup

Yesterday — Instagram soft-launched Ananya Panday’s first appearance for her upcoming film Liger, and you best believe we were stalking her MUA’s account for updates on her look. And, then, the mirror-selfie-manic sent us into a frenzy with close-ups of her makeup a little later in the evening. Paired with a shoulder-grazing bob, this aesthetic supplied us with streaks of orange; jet-black swirls of kohl; and flutter-ready lashes. Ahead — a step-by-step breakdown of her look.

Ananya Just Made Our (Pan)Day With This Beauty Look

#1: Glaze The Base

To capture Ananya’s dewy-dumpling aesthetic, double-cleanse your face to eliminate deep-seated impurities from within, and slather a scoop of moisturiser onto your skin to plump and hydrate your skin. You can mix a few pea-sized drops of your moisturiser with your foundation — or use a skincare-infused formula to further play into the dewiness. Don’t forget to cover the neck as well. Go over patches and spots with a concealer — but don’t overload your skin with the product. Just transfer some onto a brush, and swirl it in gently.

#2: Pep Up The Peppers

Prime your eyes before setting the base of the lids with a light orange-coloured eyeshadow. Tight-line your eyes with jet-black kohl to capture the sultriness of the look, and brush your lashes with two or three coats of mascara — try holding the wand vertically, and applying the formula on individual lashes to avoid clumping.

#3: Brush The Brows

Brush your brows sideways with a spoolie, and accentuate the shape of the brows with an eyebrow-pencil. Draw fine hair-like strokes on the brows instead of filling them in unnaturally, and tame the hair with an eyebrow-gel.

#4: Touch Up With Blush

To achieve Ananya’s sunkissed look, apply an orange-tinted blush on the apples of the cheeks — and just under the eyes — and keep blending until the pigment has lent a flush on your face. You can use your fingertips to do the blending instead of a brush.

#5: Dip The Lip

Use a glossy nude lipstick for this step, and overline your Cupid’s Bow just a little to play into the illusion of a plumped-up pout.

And that was on recreating Ananya’s first look for her upcoming movie — safe to say that we’re going to be fawning over the rest very soon.
