We’ve been in love with Ananya Panday ever since we first saw her on Koffee with Karan in early 2019. Remember that episode with her co-stars from Student Of The Year 2? The then 19-year old certainly did manage to make us all sit up and take notice of her. TBH, it’s been three years since and she’s always impressed us with her versatile choice of roles. During a recent interview, Ananya opened up about her journey and the highs and lows of being a part of the industry. And fam, it’s inspiring AF!
While talking to a leading daily, the actress shared, “I feel when I came on Karan’s show, I was just about 19. It feels like a long time ago, though it has been just about three-four years. At that time, I was coming from a really protected environment.” She further added that working early does help one grow up faster and we totes agree with her.
The Gehraiyaan actress even elaborated on the consequences of starting her career right after school. She revealed that all her friends were still in school while some were in college when she started working. “Back then, I had felt disconnected from them. Today, I am back to being with them and I am regaining my balance now.” She mentioned that she enjoys working in the industry and values the experience. Ananya also said that there’s no textbook in the world that can educate you like your workplace.
In the same interview, Ananya shed light on her process of working in a film “While shooting for different films, I made it a point to observe how every department works, how each of it contributes to the larger picture and how to be aware of every department and its role to evolve as an actor.” She even opened up about her journey and shared that she’s seen her fair share of success and failure. “These things force you to grow up sooner than you’d like,” she stated.
Well, Ananya has come a long way. The actress will next be seen in the film Liger with Vijay Deverakonda.
