Look, a girl may not know when she wants to get married, whom to marry or whether she wants to get married at all–but she will *definitely* know exactly what she wants her wedding to be like. Come on, haven’t you spent endless hours daydreaming about what each and every ceremony at your future wedding would look like–down to every detail like from your outfits to food. Turns out Ananya Panday, Bollywood’s sweetheart is just like the rest of us!
In a recent interview with a leading publication, Ananya dished on what her perfect wedding would look like–and it sounds dreamy AF!
Ananya starts by saying that it is going to be a grand affair (and we expected as much!). She wants to be surrounded by her closest family and friends, and wants to have two weddings: a traditional one for all friends family and acquaintances from the industry, and then later an intimate beach wedding. And she is extremely specific about what she wants–a wedding like Kalki Koechlin’s in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
“I’m actually going to have two weddings. One will be in Udaipur and it’s going to be like Kalki’s (Koechlin) in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. A really big party with all my friends, family, and other industry people. A week later, we’ll go to a beach somewhere like the Bahamas or Maldives for a smaller ceremony,” said Ananya.
And if you thought that was all, then you’re mistaken. Being a true Bollywood diva, she’s already decided what songs are going to make it to the sangeet playlist. “I’m going to be that bride who dances to her own songs. Hopefully, I’ll have done so many movies by then that I can perform for an hour,” she added.
Well, whenever this fantasy wedding happens, one thing is for sure–Ananya will make a beautiful bride!
Ananya made her B-town debut with Karan Johar’s Student Of They Year 2, and will be seen next in Pati Patni Aur Woh, opposite Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar. The film is slated to hit cinemas on December 6.
