Perhaps one of the most asked questions on Google is—how to deal with a breakup? Well, there is no right or wrong way to nurse a broken heart but it is always helpful to understand how other people deal with similar situations. Recently, our favourite Gen Z star Ananya Panday opened up about how she handles breakups and it was an eye-opener.
In an interview with leading daily, Ananya shared, “I am the kind of person who believes in going through all the emotions and letting it all out. By keeping our emotions in, we think that we’re being strong. We tell ourselves, ‘no I won’t cry’ but that suppressing of emotions always catches up to you sometime later. I feel it’s okay to cry your heart out and listen to all the Arijit Singh songs that you can.”
The Khaali Peeli actress added, “Eat how much ever ice cream you want to and you’ll be okay one day. Also, I don’t think there’s better medicine than spending time with your best friends”
NGL, we totally relate with Ananya here! It is always better to mourn the loss of a relationship than to act all tough on the outside. All you need to remember is that time is the biggest healer and eventually, things do get better.
Speaking of breakups, we wonder if Ananya was referring to her alleged breakup with Ishaan Khatter in this media interaction? According to the grapevine, the two stars decided to part ways after reportedly dating for three years. While Ananya and Ishaan never made their relationship official, their public outings and interviews left little to the imagination. Unfortunately, the two encountered an impasse in their fairytale romance and called it quits.
A source close to Ananya and Ishaan shared, “It has been a mutual call and things have ended on a positive note. The two will continue to be cordial going forward. It’s all fine for them on the friendship front, and they have parted ways on a good note. They realised that their way of looking at things was a little different from each other and hence the decision.”
Well, we are totally on board with Ananya Panday’s way of handling a breakup. BRB, sharing this article with my recently-heartbroken friend!
