No one in the entertainment industry can escape social media trolling on social. That said, star kids often end up getting the worst hit. Just recently, Ananya Panday talked about how trolling has impacted her and it is breaking our hearts.
In an interaction with a leading daily, Ananya opened up on how she deals with online bullying and trolling. The Dream Girl 2 star shared, “People forget that actors are also people. So, it does affect me but I think it would affect anyone. But I am not going to sit and say ‘poor me’.”
Ananya added that she doesn’t mind constructive criticism as it is helpful for her to grow. Unfortunately, that’s not what the trolls aim to do. “When someone says ‘you can do this’ or ‘do this in a different way’, then I always accept it. I don’t ever want to stop learning and growing. You have to be malleable as an actor but when it comes to trolling, I try not to pay too much heed to it,” added Ananya.
It is easy to sit behind a computer screen and spill hate about people you don’t know personally. But it takes courage to fly high in the face of negativity which is exactly what Ananya is doing. More power to her!
