From Deepika Padukone revealing how Ranveer Singh has been a brat all this while to Angad Bedi pulling Neha Dhupia‘s leg on an Insta live, it is this sneak peek into celeb life and some fun gossip that has been making weeks of home confinement a little tolerable for us all.
Now speaking of celeb gossip, Ananya Panday had a really interesting observation to make during a recent interview with an online media portal. In a fun rapid-fire interview round, when asked about who would make for the best star cast for the Indian version of Gossip Girl, she promptly replied, “I think Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karan Johar and Ranbir Kapoor. That’s what people say, right, that they know everything. So, I think these three can be like the gossip girls.”
That sounds like an apt answer given that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karan Johar have always had quite a reputation for being the OG B-Town gossipmongers, a tag that the two embrace sans any hesitation, and in fact, take great pride in. It was only last year that Kareena Kapoor made an appearance on Koffee With Karan and proudly accepted her status as the gossip queen of the B-Town as Karan Johar pestered her to divulge more information and Priyanka Chopra looked at two in complete amazement.
During her interview, Ananya also answered some questions about Kartik Aaryan, Tiger Shroff, Sara Ali Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Tara Sutaria. Besides a cast suggestion for Gossip Girls, she also had one in mind for the Indian adaptation of Beauty and the Beast and shared that while Janhvi Kapoor would suit perfectly in the character of Belle, Kartik Aaryan would make for the perfect Beast with his lockdown beard look.
Ananya is currently waiting for the release of her film Khaali Peeli that has been indefinitely stalled because of the current lockdown. And while we absolutely love to see her on the silver screen, we are quite sure that this one can try her hands as a casting director as well.
