Last night, Divya Agarwal took the internet by storm after announcing her engagement with beau Apurva Padgaonkar. While congratulations poured in, many weren’t particularly pleased with the update. Soon enough, Divya started receiving hate for her engagement post. Why? Simply for making a life choice.
Well, we are appalled, to say the least, and here is a letter for everyone who thinks they’re entitled to comment on other people’s life choices.
Dear haters,
I remember when Divya was trolled for calling out Priyank Sharma for being a jerk during his Bigg Boss stint. I remember when she was trolled for moving on and getting into a relationship with Varun Sood. The worst of all? I remember when she was trolled for posting pics after her father’s death. All she did was decide to move on, right?
Divya is a strong woman who knows her worth and does not stay in situations where she is not appreciated. What’s wrong with that? She’s entitled to live her life however it pleases her. But more importantly, she is entitled to date as many men as she wants, whenever she wants, however she wants.
The most shocking bit? Some people have been calling Divya a gold digger for choosing a businessman fiance. The trolls are conveniently forgetting how successful she herself is! She has been juggling one project after the other post her Bigg Boss OTT win. Not to forget, Divya has her own fashion brand too. She can very well pay her own bills and doesn’t need a man to do that for her!
It is funny how we seldom or never see the same standards being applied to men. It’s amazing how the haters can still sympathize with Varun Sood! Can’t we extend the same empathy to Divya? The girl has been through so much in the past couple of years. Can’t we just join her in celebrations when she is finally happy?
