Bollywood’s Bajirao and Mastani, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, have finally decided to tie the knot after six years of dating each other. They are all set to celebrate in Lake Como, Italy on November 14-15 and we just can’t wait! While they have kept hush in public for a really long time, the actors have slipped up multiple times and spoken about their love life on camera. But that’s in the past, for on the first episode of Koffee With Karan Season 6, the actress couldn’t help but say, “Isn’t he looking hot though?” when shown pictures of Ranveer Singh. Ranveer Singh on the other hand, while sharing the couch with Akshay Kumar, called Deepika Padukone his hummingbird and we all collectively went ‘awww.’

In the past few years, DeepVeer have starred in three movies together and Ranveer did a cameo in Deepika’s Finding Fanny too. They never admitted to being in love while promoting their movies or giving interviews, but they spoke fondly about each other and gave us MAJOR hints! Let’s take a look at all the statements that they made in front of the cameras and melted our hearts.
The First Words Of Love
A year ago, during the promotions of Padmaavat, Ranveer Singh spoke to a leading magazine about finding comfort in Deepika Padukone and his words just melted our hearts! “I have no scenes with her in this film at all. But it’s nice to have someone you can confide in. It’s comforting. It’s great to have someone who can relate to your problems. It was definitely a good feeling to have,” he said.
However, this wasn’t the first time the actor had openly admitted to being smitten by his lady love. Back in 2013, he gave an interview to a newspaper and told them that having Deepika in his life was the best feeling in the world. Sigh!
“It’s good. It’s rocking. I love being in love. It’s the best feeling in the world. I have never felt like this before.” In an interview later, Deepika was asked if she was offended by Ranveer talking about their relationship but the actress gracefully responded saying, “No, it’s amazing, the way he is. He is so unique. And I think what I admire about him is that he is so unapologetic about the way he is.”
But of course, the actress couldn’t hold back and spoke about her feelings as well.
They Complete Each Other
After the Instagram PDA that begun between the two around a year ago, she went on record with a leading digital agency and shared how Ranveer made her feel. Her statement is bound to leave you with butterflies! “When we’re with each other, we don’t need anything or anyone else. We’re comfortable in each other’s presence. Sometimes, it’s intelligent conversation, sometimes just silence, sometimes there’s a childlike innocence. We keep each other grounded. We are good in that sense.”
The two may be crazy in love, but they denied the wedding rumours every chance they got. Until they surprised us with the invitation on Instagram!
When Deepika was asked about her wedding plans in an interview last year, she responded with a vague comment, “I can’t put a year to it. Honestly, I’ve never been able to do anything that is time bound. I believe relationships have their way of unfolding. As far as my equation with him is concerned, I am sure that will unfold in its own manner. I can’t wait to be a homemaker. Because from the time I was a little girl, I’ve always wanted to be that. I’ve always wanted to start a family.”
Now as the wedding date approaches, we can’t help but remember all the cute moments this couple has shared with us over the years. From the first time, we saw them together on the big screen in 2013 with Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela to their 2018 blockbuster film Padmaavat, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are and will always remain couple goals!
