After months of speculating about Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s impending nuptials, we finally have a date. It’s happening on the 17th of this month! Stating the obvious here but we can hardly wait to finally see them as a married couple. But more importantly, it is Alia’s bridal look that we look forward to. After all, this is going to be one of the biggest Bollywood weddings of the decade and we are sure the actress is all set to look the part. While we are yet to get any updates on Alia’s bridal fit, we can still put some pieces together to predict her bridal style. Care to play along? Scroll down:
All Things Classic
Alia has an affinity for classic Indian silhouettes like flared lehengas, anarkalis, and, of course, the charming six-yards. We expect that she plans to stick to the style at her wedding too. Don’t @ us if we envision her in a Sabyasachi lehenga. After all, having witnessed all the recent Bollywood shaadis, it is just logical:
However, do not be too surprised if she ditches the lehenga for a handloom saree like his Banarasi beauty:
Colour Play
While the actress might stick to the basics in the silhouette department, chances are that she will get adventurous with the colour palette. Be it her cobalt-pink outfit from Raazi or orange-maroon bridal look from 2 States, Alia has time and again shown that she likes to experiment with her colours. Case in point—this all gold Sabyasachi lehenga:
Just yesterday, Sabyasachi took to Instagram to launch a brocade mauve lehenga and we wonder if he has actually dropped a hint about Alia’s bridal look. However, we wouldn’t mind if the actress still tries to keep it a tad conventional with her palette and go for an ombré ensemble just like Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla drape:
Keeping It Minimal
As per a source close to the couple, Alia and Ranbir are opting for an intimate wedding at the RK Studios. Nothing extravagant has been planned yet which makes us wonder if the actress would like to keep it minimal in the style department as well. OTT garments have anyway never been “Shanaya’s style” (If you know you know)! Again, we are pulling a Sabyasachi look that is in alignment with Alia’s personal style:

Verdict
Provided she does not settle for the trademark crimson Sabyasachi, our bet is that Alia would stun us with a lighter garment by the designer. Yes, we are betting high on the fact that it’s going to be Sabya given he has dressed the actress on multiple occasions in the past. That said, we do hope that they eschew the predictable reds for a fresher colour palette.
Rest assured, there is something that we can claim with absolute guarantee— Alia is going to break the internet with her bridal look. God, why can’t it be the 17th of April already?
