Ever since the trailer of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani was released, Alia Bhatt has been blessing us with one gorgeous saree look after the other. While in the film, Rani Chatterjee made our hearts skip a beat with her wardrobe, Alia is doing the same IRL. The actress has been donning the most stunning sarees at promotional events and TBH, we don’t think we’ll ever get bored of them. The actress recently stepped out in a rani pink saree that practically reflects her character, and it’s one of our favourite looks yet.
On August 3, Alia took to her Instagram and posted a series of pictures in her rani pink Manish Malhotra saree. It was a minimalistic cotton saree draped over a lustrous velvet blouse with a sweetheart neckline and an open back. Despite the simplicity, the vibrancy of the colour mirrored on Alia’s face, giving it a natural radiance. We also like how the blouse fabric imparted a much-needed gloss to the otherwise plain ensemble.
Kudos to Ami Patel for styling this look so phenomenally. She kept the “rani-ness” alive by accessorising the look with dangling gold earrings and a dainty black bindi which is Rani’s signature style. Alia also wore a huge oxidised ring on her index finger which somehow spruced up the look.
Since we’ve seen Rocky propose to Rani while dressed in her rang, aka rani pink, we’ve fallen in love with the shade all over again! And we’re certain we’re not alone. We won’t be surprised if we see a lot more of this colour as the festive and wedding season approaches.
