After Priyanka Chopra, Ali Fazal and Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt is all set to make her international debut soon. The actress announced her upcoming project on social media a week ago. Now, in a recent interview, Alia has opened up about it.
While talking to a leading daily about taking up international projects, Alia shared, “I just don’t want to do it for the heck of it and to tick it off the box. I want to look at opportunities which should have a good part, an interesting dynamic, and cast, something that is new and relevant.”
That’s not all, Alia also confessed that her reason behind saying yes to any project is no longer influenced by competition. She explained that the rat race isn’t satisfying and at times, can get addictive which is not a good thing. “So it doesn’t drive me anymore. I don’t want to be in that game. What is driving me is to keep working with people with who I am comfortable and doing films and roles that I love. I want to keep it light, happy and do meaningful cinema,” she elaborated.
Alia has a lot of interesting movies in the pipeline. She’s currently awaiting the release of SS Rajamouli’s RRR with Ram Charan and Jr NTR, which will go on-air on March 25. Next, she has Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor which gets released in September this year. Alia is currently working with Ranveer Singh in Karan Johar’s, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The talented actress has also launched a new production venture, called Eternal Sunshine Productions. She will be releasing the studio’s first film, Darling in collaboration with Red Chillies Entertainment in which she plays the lead.
Well, sounds like Alia has a packed year ahead and we cannot wait for her upcoming releases.
