The rumours of their wedding first circulated around 2020. During an interview with film critic, Rajeev Masand, the actor confessed that had the pandemic not occurred, he would have tied the knot with his girlfriend already. Well, now that the pandemic is over, all we have been thinking is—so when is it happening? Apparently, sooner than we know. Yes, we have strong reasons to believe that the lovebirds are tying the knot next month, that is April, and we’re so excited!
The latest buzz has it that Alia and Ranbir have cleared their schedule for next month and will not be shooting for any film. A little birdie has revealed to a leading daily that they have been meeting ace designer Manish Malhotra for their outfits as well. They said, “Recently, Ranbir’s mom, Neetu Kapoor, was spotted at celebrity designer Manish Malhotra’s store and likewise, Manish was spotted at their house. The couple has even asked for free dates from their respective film shoots for the big day.”
The lovebirds have recently returned from Varanasi, where they were shooting for their upcoming movie, Brahmastra. While the actor will be next seen in Luv Ranjan’s movie along with Shraddha Kapoor, the actress has Karan Johar’s Rock Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in the pipeline. But, it seems that both of them will be taking a short break from work.
According to reports, the actors will get hitched in mid-April in an intimate ceremony. Earlier, there were rumours that they will be tying the knot in Rajasthan. But, a source close to them has revealed that the two are not interested in a destination wedding. “Alia and Ranbir might not do a destination wedding and will get hitched in Mumbai itself. The couple will tie the knot in the presence of their close and loved ones, they don’t want to do a lavish wedding. It will be a closed knit affair as Ranbir and Alia, both are very private individuals.”
Well, whether it’s Rajasthan or Mumbai or any other place in the world, we just want to witness the biggest wedding of B-town soon. We hope that #Ralia shippers get a major reason to celebrate next month.
