One of the most celebrated first ladies in American history, Michelle Obama has managed to keep it real albeit impactful through Barack Obama’s presidency and post it as well. Since the release of her memoir, Becoming in 2018, the past couple of years have been specifically prolific for Michelle (not that she ever had a dull one). Earlier this year in May, a documentary film based on her memoir and the 34-city book tour following the book’s release aired on Netflix. And while it certainly took the world by storm, it has also left us wanting more. Well, just in case you happen to be one of those as smitten by her resilient spirit as us, here’s some news: we will soon be getting more of Michelle Obama!
Michelle’s production company, Higher Ground, that she runs with former President Barack Obama announced in conjugation with Spotify that she would soon be launching her own podcast. And by soon we mean, very soon. The podcast is all set to be released on July 29!
“Hosted by Michelle Obama, the series will bring listeners the former First Lady’s most candid and personal conversations, showing us what’s possible when we allow ourselves to be vulnerable, to open up, and to focus on what matters most,” Higher Ground and Spotify said in a press announcement while releasing the venture. And before you ask, these podcast episodes are going to be based on “the relationships that shape us, from siblings and close friends to partners, parents, and mentors to our relationship with ourselves and our health.”
