Back in the day, Bollywood celebrities were known for throwing shade at fellow actors in the public eye. Cut to 2023, the media interactions have become more translucent and actors know when to keep their lips sealed. But as they say, once it gets on the internet, it stays there forever. The latest celeb to face the wrath of the internet is Aditi Rao Hydari!
In a video that’s going viral, netizens are calling out Aditi Rao Hydari for being a hypocrite. Allow me to give you context: The year was 2013, and the entire cast of Murder 3, including Aditi Rao Hydari, Randeep Hooda, and Sara Loren appeared for a press conference. One of the journalists asked Aditi about her favourite lead actress from the Murder franchise, which included Mallika Sherawat, Jacqueline Fernandez, and herself. But instead of giving a straight answer, the Padmaavat actress took a U-turn and spiraled her words in the worst possible way. She said, “You know sabki apni choices hoti hai, but I truly believe that there’s far more to just sexuality. And I think you need to have steel in your soul and not silicon in your chest to be somebody of substance! When a confused Randeep Hooda asked her to repeat her statement, she clearly said, “YES! Steel in your soul and not SILICON in your boobs!”
Aditi went ahead and even deviated from talking about the movie to her own royal heritage and sanskaars. “I got inspiration from my own inheritance, which is my sanskaar, and devi maa,” said the actress. While her co-actor Randeep tried his best to control the damage, her words were already out in the open. Well, the clip recently made it to Reddit and people are now calling her out for going under the knife herself. Some internet users even pointed out how her ‘Gram bio shows her dislike for people like the Kardashians, who’ve gone through reconstructive surgeries in the past.
While Aditi got called out for her hypocritical statement, she’s not the only actress who’s taken an open dig at fellow celebs for going under the knife. As influential people, these stars certainly need to understand that their statements can make or break the opinions of millions of their fans. Making such hateful comments about each other’s personal choices can spiral into a snowball in no time. Here’s hoping they do better!
