I’m Praying It’ll Be Over Soon: Actress Mohena Kumari & Family Test Postive For COVID-19

India began its first phase of reopening the country with Unlock One yesterday. However, as the country begins to open up, the need of the hour is to realise that we haven’t automatically become immune to the virus. The need also is to understand that absolutely no one is safe from COVID-19. After Wajid Khan succumbed to the novel coronavirus yesterday, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress Mohena Kumari Singh and her family have been tested positive for COVID-19

Mohena along with her husband Suyyesh Rawat, father-in-law, mother-in-law, sister-in-law & her 5-year-old son have all contracted COVID-19 and are currently hospitalised. Confirming the news, Mohena shared in a media statement yesterday “Yes, the news is true, seven from our family have been tested positive for COVID-19, but we are doing fine now. Right now we are in the hospital. My brother-in-law’s latest report has come negative so he’s fine now. There are people too who have been infected but they are from the sanstha. We had very mild symptoms and we thought it must be because of the change in weather,” Mohena recently shared.

However, the actress took to Instagram earlier today and shared that she had been facing difficulties in sleeping. “Can’t sleep. Initial days have been difficult for all of us at home especially our young one and elders. But I’m praying it will be all over soon. We are fine. We have no right to complain about anything as there are people out there who are suffering way more than us. But I’d like to thank each one of you for all the messages, prayers, and love you’ll have been sending. It’s keeping our spirits up. And we have so much gratitude in our hearts for you all,” she wrote in her post.

Mohena is married to Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj’s son. As per media reports, some of his staff members have also been tested positive for the novel coronavirus. After the news went out, staff members form Uttarakhand Sachivalaya were sent for a precautionary off.

As the country fast leaps towards the two-lakh mark in regards to its COVID-19 cases, it is vital to keep in mind that lockdown relaxations don’t imply that the virus has disappeared from the country. If anything, we need to be all the more careful and vigilant of how we go about our daily lives. Stay safe!
