Last night’s Bigg Boss 14 episode came across as quite a delight after the connections’ entry into the house. Barring a few incidents where Jasmin Bhasin went around the house spewing hatred, the overall atmosphere was celebratory, happy, and light…a tad too light. Well, if we go by the latest updates from the house, it was indeed the calm before the storm.
Of course, we weren’t expecting the contestants’ connections to just come and chill in the house. And as per the latest updates, they were, in fact, asked to vote against a contestant whose contribution has been the least in the house. No brownie points for guessing that Abhinav Shukla easily became the soft target and there are high chances that he has been eliminated from the house in a mid-week eviction. It goes without saying that Abhinav’s connection, Rahul Mahajan would have to leave the house with him.
However, in another update, apparently, a twist is on and speculations are being made that Abhinav might join Paras Chhabra, who will enter the house as Devoleena Bhattacharjee’s connection, in a Secret Room. At the moment all of it sounds pretty shocking given that a contestant’s fate has been decided by connections in the last leg of Bigg Boss. Also, given that just two weeks are left for the Bigg Boss finale, the need for a Secret Room twist sounds pretty redundant at this point.
Naturally, Abhinav’s fans are disappointed and have been accusing the makers of playing dirty to save Devoleena (thus Eijaz Khan) from eviction. They feel that his entire journey in the Bigg Boss house has been disrespected by this unfair elimination. Here are some tweets:
Abhinav has also been missing from Bigg Boss‘s live feed currently. Now, unfair as this elimination sounds, it’s also being said that the elimination would only strengthen Rubina’s game in the house. But then again it’s an entirely different conversation and the vote out from the connections is indeed unfair if that has happened to Abhinav.
That said, nothing about Bigg Boss 14 surprises us anymore so you never know if Abhinav Shukla is actually sitting with Paras Chhabra in the Secret Room. Guess we’d have to continue watching to find out.
