Once upon a time Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh were one of the cutest couples in the telly world, so when the two parted ways it was every bit heartbreaking. Aamir and Sanjeeda have been living separately for a while and eventually decided to call off their marriage earlier this year. Recently, the Kya Dill Mein Hai actor opened up about his decision to call off the relationship.
In an interview with an online publication, Aamir talked about his relationship with Sanjeeda post the separation and how he dealt with the heartbreak. The actor said, “It was extremely difficult at that point. After my marriage fell apart, main hil chuka tha (I was shaken). But I am a sportsman by nature, and I never give up. I have always been a happy soul, and I am glad that I am back to being that. I don’t harbour ill feelings for anyone and I wish the best for my ex. Sab khush raho life mein (I want everyone to be happy in life). Everything happens for a reason and everyone ought to be happy.”
The Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls star added, “During the pandemic, I got a lot of time to introspect. I started looking at the positives, be it from COVID-19 or my failed relationship. I learned to move on. If I am happy, I will be able to keep everyone around me happy or my world will collapse.” Aamir also revealed that he is no longer in touch with his ex-wife since the divorce.
NGL, we admire how Aamir and Sanjeeda have handled their divorce and this speaks volumes about the respect they have for each other. Breakups are never easy, but it takes a lot of courage to admit that the relationship is not working out.
