Negative space liner is a refreshing new upgrade from your conventional winged eyeliner. The trend is based on the ‘less is more’ approach and we cannot wait to try it out! It’s edgy and glam and makes it look like you’ve tried really hard (truth is it’s easier than winged liner!) It’s versatile and you can customize it to your liking. There are no rules really, so go crazy and you’re still going to look fabulous!
1. Use a felt tip or some gel liner for maximum control, and draw a very fine line all across your eyelid – as close to your lashline as possible.
2. Make a small wing on the corner of your eye and make sure it’s thin.
3. Connect the edge of the wing (remember, thin lines) to the center of your eyelid. Be careful though, you don’t want to fill in the wing, you just want to create an outline for the cat eye. And that’s it, your negative space eyeliner is done! You can dress this up using glitter or colored eyeliner or even eyeshadow! Throw on some colored mascara if you’re feeling wild.
