NGL, there are only a handful of TV shows that can withstand the wrath of changing trends. And Sex And The City is definitely one of them. The show had it all from friendship, love, and lots of sex, making it hella relatable even after two whole decades.
For a long time, we were disappointed that India doesn’t have its own version of the SATC. But luckily, it looks like Karan Johar heard us! The director just dropped the trailer of Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives Season 2. And thankfully, it looks far from disappointing. So, without further ado, here are five reasons why this show could be our Indian replacement to SATC.
Girl Power FTW!
SATC was LIT because for the first time on TV, we saw four independent women living life on their own terms. Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives also chronicles the story of four women—Maheep Kapoor, Bhavana Panday, Seema Khan, and Neelam Kothari. And this girl group is unabashedly honest! Apart from discussing their love and sex lives, these women aren’t afraid to curse and do what comes authentically to them. So, if this isn’t a recipe for a blockbuster, we don’t know what is.
Besties Before BAE
We can never forget that Carrie Bradshaw said, “They say nothing lasts forever; dreams change, trends come and go, but friendships never go out of style.” Embodying the same emotion, Fabulous Lives Of Bollywood Wives Season 2 trailer tells us that even though friendships get messy sometimes, we can always count on our BFFs when we need them. And boy, does this season get messy!
Smashing Stereotypes
Who said women in their 40s aren’t allowed to look and feel their best? SATC has proved that statement false several times and the new chapter of Bollywood Wives is following the same footsteps. These four women are channelling their inner, sexier selves this season. And they look more fashionable and fab than ever. So, all we’ve got to say to them is—you go, girls!
Drama, Drama & More Darma
This time around, things get 10x steamier as we see the girls bring out their vulnerable and catty sides. The trailer gives us a glimpse into their on-going conflict and truth be told, we were eager to see what new the season has in store for us. In the last season Seema and Bhavana were butting heads. But this time, Maheep has taken Seema’s place. While everyone knows Maheep’s fiery spirit, Bhavana also doesn’t take things lying down. So, be ready to get your dose of drama soon!
Exploring Love
We all know KJo loves to play the role of matchmaker and now, the director is back to his old tricks. We see in the trailer that Karan is trying to set Seema up with rockstar and rapper, Badshah. And TBH, we really don’t know what we feel about that. Besides this, the girls also get talking about the shaky waters in their own marriage and discuss their sex lives without hesitation. And NGL, we’re totally living for this!
Time to move over SATC ‘coz Bollywood wives are here to rule the streets!
