Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan and fashion designer Natasha Dalal decided to say ‘I do’ last night and we couldn’t be more ecstatic for the two! The handsome couple tied the knot in Alibaug, Maharashtra, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Varun took to Instagram to share the good news, post which makeup artist extraordinaire Namrata Soni gave us a closer look at the gorgeous bride. Natasha’s base had an airbrushed finish and her eyes were accentuated with some champagne shadow and a very subtle smokey eye. Soni also tightlined her eyes and blended the kohl on the lower lash line to give them a softer appearance. For the lashes, she brought on the drama and finished the look with a mauve-nude matte lipstick.
While we’re serious fans of Natasha’s beauty look, her hairdo had us stunned.
Unlike conventional brides, she chose to let her hair down in a semi-down hairdo which was further accessorized by white hydrangeas. Whether you’re a bride-to-be or a bridesmaid, our roundup of the coolest ways to wear your hair down this wedding season will surely give you all the inspiration you need.
From the intricate purple floral embroidery on her beautiful lehenga to that yellow and white floral jewelry, this bride’s mehendi day ensemble has a ton of ideas that we’d love to copy! We love that she let her locks down and dressed them up in darker shades of purple and maroon. The flowers rest on an intricate braid, that’s what keeps them in place and intact! While this look is all about lets the flowers take centre stage, it is important to make sure your hair looks glossy and shiny. Make sure you spritz a shine spray into your hair to nail the look!
The bride’s look boasts of serious hairstyling skills. But if you’re a novice, simply gather your hair from both sides of your face and plait it in a fishtail braid. Use bobby pins to secure the flowers in place along the length of the plait. Then, take some pearl pins and fix more flowers around your braid like a crown. To keep the flowers in place, we’ve become monogamous to a strong hold hairspray.
If the recent rise in bubble ponytails has tickled your fancy, this hairstyle will be right up your alley. Instead of tucking flowers into the bride’s braid, hairstylist Ritika Kadam has opted to plant low-key baby’s breath-esque blooms into side braids. Pieces of golden cord are used to secure the ponytail at intervals. The trick to keeping your hair healthy? Never skip heat protectant!
Obsessed with these hairstyles? We are too!
PSA: We’d like to thank the new bride Natasha for giving us much needed inspo for the wedding season! Floral buns are going to be a thing of the past (at least for now!).
