With brands like Louis Vuitton and Cartier in her kitty, Deepika Padukone is slowly becoming an international fashion icon and the world is finally acknowledging what we already know. That she is an icon through and through. To put it a millennial’s words – she always understands the assignment. Her fashion covers, for instance. Of course it takes a village to make celebrities look the way they do, but we have got to give her credit for the brilliance she brings with her. Here we look at 5 such covers that serve as major inspirations for us.
When I look back at her cover shoots, I cannot help but notice that you can derive some fashion inspiration from them. Here are five stunning covers featuring Deepika Padukone from where you can get inspired for your next look.
1. The Vogue India -December 2023 Cover
This year’s last edition of Vogue India featured Deepika Padukone in some stunning pieces. The cover just does not hit the mark. Deepika is wearing a black dress that qualifies as too simplistic. The dress has been paired with multicolour jewels from Cartier’s High Jewelry collection and a sleek braid. We wanted to see the full look because we know she’d look ethereal but that was stolen from us. Understandably I do agree that maybe they wanted the jewelry to be the focal point, but even that doesn’t seem to happen here. Only 3/4th of the green pendant is actually visible.
But when you look at this image from the cover shoot, you just cannot take your eyes off her in this black Coperni dress. The frills gorgeously show off her clavicle. At the same time, the jewellery looks equally stunning. The look has been styled to perfection by Megha Kapoor. This look is a perfect inspo for all those upcoming parties this festive season. As someone who enjoys fashion and dressing up, I can see myself wearing a similar black dress with statement jewels and turning heads at the NYE Party.
2. The Forbes India January 2023 Cover
Deepika shows you how to wear florals. She has paired a floral outfit with a simple gold hoop. The look has been complemented with a soft brown smokey eye, a nude lip, and a bun. This look is perfect for days when you want to add some colour to your gloomy winter look and it’s perfect for just any occasion.
3. The Vogue India May 2022 Cover
The actor is wearing a black lacy dress by Louis Vuitton. That has been paired with a pair of denim and sneakers. Gen Z is big on the anti-fit silhouette and this hits the bull’s eye. For days when you don’t want to put extra effort into your outfit, this anti-fit look will help you stay comfortable without missing the IT factor. Megha Kapoor styled it in such a way that it looks easy, breezy, and chic.
4. The Allure March 2022 Cover
Styled by Priyanka Kapadia, the Allure cover gave us some fresh, fun, and dewy eye makeup looks that we cannot wait to try.
But the one look from the photoshoot that takes the cake is this one. The shimmery yellow two-piece makes her pop. Add to it, the eye makeup with just a pop of colour is everything. The makeup has been kept minimal and it has been paired with a wet-hair look. This look is easy to create for all of us. Just grab your favourite co-ord set and use a colour from the same family on your eyes. You can use hair gel to create the same hairstyle and voila!
5. The Time Magazine May 2023 Cover
The monochrome trend is here to stay. The magazine used that trend and added an anti-fit silhouette to it. The structured shoulders give the look some dimension without making it look shabby. The baggy silhouette looks comfortable and who wouldn’t want that?
Deepika Padukone effortlessly manages to bring a stylist’s vision to life.
