Four years ago, our Instagram feeds were blessed with stunning wedding pictures of Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi. Their hush-hush shaadi took us all by surprise and even today we still find ourselves gushing over their oh-so-dreamy wedding photos. Over the years, the two have been each other’s rock and for most of us they are the definition of ‘couple goals’.
TBH, there have been many times when Angad left us all impressed with the way he stood by wifey Neha’s side. From shutting down trolls to supporting her every decision, he is totally nailing the part of being the perfect pati! Here’s looking back at all the times Angad has been Neha’s rock through thick and thin:
When He Defended Neha In The Nepotism Debate
Back in 2020, writer Suchitra Krishnamoorthi accused Neha of being Karan Johar’s ‘chamcha‘ in a (now deleted) tweet. She wrote, “Peeps its not #nepotisminbollywood one shld aggravate against but chamchagiri. I mean how did #nehadhupia suddenly get all these talk shows except that she is #karanjohar s new bestie and #femina Missindia 2002!! – shes no blood relative or star kid is she (sic)”
Angad defended Neha in an interview and shared, “It was a statement which I didn’t feel held the weight at all. By saying something like that she just exposed herself, which is a bit unfortunate. Because there is a lot of respect we have for her. I don’t know why it was meant and in what light. We are not privileged people. We don’t belong to backing like that as such. We have worked hard from where we have come. We have also faced a lot of rejections. Why would she say that?”
When Angad Supported Neha After The Roadies Controversy
We are pretty sure that everyone remembers the much-talked-about Roadies controversy. If not, allow us to refresh your memory. During Roadies Revolution’s auditions, Neha bashed a guy for slapping his ex-girlfriend who allegedly cheated on him and five other guys. She shouted at the participant and told him that it is the girl’s choice if she went out with five guys and that the problem must have been with him for her to go and seek love in other relationships. Post this comment, the Singh Is King actress was brutally trolled. But her hubby Angad jumped to her defence and shut them down down in a witty manner! The Pink actor took to Instagram, where he shared a string of photographs of himself along with Neha and said that it was his “five girlfriends”.
When He Slammed Trolls For Fat-Shaming His Ladylove
Over the last couple of years, Neha has spoken up about being fat-shamed on social media as a new mom. In support of his wife, Angad spoke up about how women like Neha should be celebrated and not bullied online. He said, “We all know the process… a woman who is expecting goes through a lot of bodily changes. In fact, during the postpartum period, many mothers don’t feel attached to (their) newborns. So during such times they are quite sensitive and require special care. Still, there are people who don’t think twice before making hurtful comments about how a mother looks. I fail to understand what satisfaction they get out of body shaming others.”
When Angad Called Neha His ‘Warrior’
Angad has never been one to shy away from praising his beautiful wife! After the birth of their son, the actor shared the sweetest post for the mama bear and wrote, “Jab kabhi mile ek second!! @nehadhupia you are a warrior!!! Proud of you for everything you do. #reels”
