It’s Aam Season: 3 DIY Skincare Recipes Using Mangoes That You’ve Gotta Try ASAP!

Without a doubt, India’s most popular season has to be the aam season. Mango shakes, aam panna, pappad, and mango pickle, there are so many ways to enjoy the delicious taste of this fruit.

In the skincare world too, mango is quite the king as it’s loaded with Vitamins A and C. It helps with skin radiance, protects it from sun damage, and has amazing anti-ageing properties. So, if you have some extra mangoes lying around the house, make it into a pulp and apply it to your face.

Today, we’re sharing some awesome ways you can use mango in your DIY skincare routine.

DIY Mango Skincare Recipes

DIY Mango Face Pack for Dry Skin

You’ll Need:

  • 1 Ripe mango
  • 1 Ripe avocado 
  • Honey
  • Fork
  • Bowl

Step 1: In a bowl, scoop out fresh mango pulp from one mango and then scoop out 3 tbsp. of avocado.

Step 2: Using a fork, mash both these nutrients-high fruits together and then add 3-4 drops of honey.

Step 3: After washing your face properly, apply this tasty DIY mango mask for about 20 minutes and then wash it with cold water.

This mask is great to treat dry spots on your skin and you can totally apply it on your knees, elbows and even heels.

DIY Mango Scrub For Glowing Skin

You’ll Need:

  • 1 Ripe mango
  • Oatmeal
  • Fork
  • Bowl

Step 1: In a bowl, add mango pulp from one mango and mash it properly. If possible, try to remove the excess water from the bowl.

Step 2: Next, add 3 tbsp. oatmeal into the mango mash, mix everything well and your DIY scrub is ready to be used.

This is a great recipe to remove stubborn tanning without being too harsh on your skin. If you like, you can totally apply it all over your body as well. Instead of using one mango, use two and replace the oatmeal with 4 tbsp. brown sugar and your DIY body scrub will be ready!

DIY Mango Peel-Off Mask For Anti-Ageing

You’ll Need:

  • 1 Ripe mango
  • Tissue papers
  • 2 Eggs
  • Bowl

Step 1: In a bowl, scoop out 3-4 tbsp. fresh mango pulp and then add eggs whites from 2 eggs in it.

Step 2: Take a handful of the DIY face mask and apply a thin layer on your face. Next, apply two layers of tissue papers and wait for them to dry.

Step 3: Repeat these same step once more (apply mango pulp and then 2 layers of tissue paper) and wait for it to dry completely.

Step 4: Wait for 30-45 minutes before peeling it off from your face.

Egg whites are one of the top choices when it comes to making a DIY mask for anti-ageing. Combine those with the goodness of mangoes, and you’ll feel that your skin is firmer, has fewer wrinkles, and exudes a youthful glow.
