You’ll Need:

  • Shea butter
  • Cocoa butter
  • Olive oil

Method:

Step 1: Take ¼ cups of cocoa butter, melt it in a microwave or over a pan. It shouldn’t take more than a few seconds so keep an eye on it and remove it from heat as soon as it’s melted.

Step 2: To a bowl, add ¼ cups of shea butter along with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and the melted cocoa butter mix thoroughly.

Step 3: Let the mixture cool down. You can also refrigerate it until it solidifies, it usually takes under an hour. Next, stir for the final texture. Once it solidifies, stir the ingredients again to reveal the final texture, which should have a buttery consistency.

Step 4: Transfer this mixture to a jar. This combination will make enough moisturiser for 6 to 8 months and should be used within that time since your hands will introduce bacteria into the product each time you use it. Of course, if you use a spatula to spoon it out, you can enjoy it for longer.

Step 1: To a bowl, add 1 tablespoon each of hazelnut oil, avocado oil, and sesame oil (or jojoba oil).

Step 2: Pour all three oils into a dropper bottle, put on the lid, and shake to mix. Yep, it’s that simple. This recipe only makes 12 uses, so feel free to double it if you’d like more. When it comes to applying the formula, we recommend massaging it into your face to really activate the oils. Additionally, it’s best used at night, and wash it off if you plan to wear makeup. That said, if you love a dewy glow, you can apply a drop or two and pat it into your skin, removing any excess with the help of a towel.
