TBH, blackheads are downright annoying, especially on days when we want to nail a no-makeup selfie. Although there are enough expert-backed facts to prove the perils of picking and popping blackheads, we can’t deny that temptation remains. At some point or the other, we all have tried pulling out the gunk inside our pores, only to have them re-appear a day or two after. All you need is:

  • Baking soda
  • Water

Step 1: In a bowl, add two tablespoons of baking soda. Next, add two tablespoons of water to form a paste. 

Step 2: Massage the paste onto the affected areas, leave it on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water. PS: Be sure to moisturize afterward as it could dry your skin, you can use it two to three times a week.

 

Rip Open Those Green Tea Bags

All you need is:

  • Green tea bag
  • Honey
  • Rosewater

Method:

Step 1: Make a cup of green tea like you would drink it but let the tea bag steep for around an hour. Let the tea bag cool down, and then break it open to release the leaves.

Step 2: Put the leaves in a bowl and add 1 tbsp of honey. If the mixture is super thick, add a few drops of rose water. 

Step 3: Apply it evenly over your skin and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. You can also give your skin a gentle scrub. Then, rinse off with warm water. Repeat once or twice a week until you start to see results.

  • Oatmeal 
  • Curd 
  • Turmeric
  • Honey

Method:

Step 1: Add 1 teaspoon of oatmeal to 1 teaspoon of curd.

Step 2: Next add a pinch of turmeric and 1 teaspoon of honey to the mix. When these super ingredients are combined, it makes for a great scrub. Gently scrub it on your face for 7-10 minutes and wash it off.

  • Rice Flour
  • Green tea
  • Milk Or Yogurt

Method:

Step 1: In a blender, take 1 teaspoon of coarse white rice until it has a powder consistency.

Step 2: Rip open 1 green tea bag and add it to the mixture. 

Step 3: Add 2 teaspoons of milk. Mix it well. Apply the mixture on your face and gently scrub for 5 minutes in a circular motion. Wash it off and follow the step with a hydrating cream.

The Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy Recipe

  • Cinnamon powder
  • Turmeric(optional)

Method:

Step 1: In a bowl, add 1 tablespoon each of cinnamon powder and lemon juice.

Step 2: You can also add a pinch of turmeric powder to the mix for a little extra glow.

Step 3: Apply it on your face for 10-15 mins and then rinse off using normal water.
