Rip Open Those Green Tea Bags

We are all aware of the endless benefits that green tea offers and how it enhances the overall health of the skin, but who knew it could save us from clingy scars?

Follow the steps to get rid of these annoying blackheads: Make a cup of green tea like you would to drink it but let the tea bag steep for around an hour. Let the tea bag cool down, and then break it open to release the leaves.  Put the leaves in a bowl and add 1 tbsp of honey. If the mixture is super thick, add a few drops of rose water. Apply the mixture in an even layer over your skin and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Repeat once or twice a week until you start to see results.

Melt Away Your Skin Oil With Oil Cleansing (Trust us!)

It may seem absurd to add oil to oily skin, but some skincare experts recommend it, as it’s gentle and safe for the skin barrier. As blackheads result from pores clogged with dead skin cells and oil, this process primarily works on the principle of ‘like dissolves like’ as it helps remove excess oils from the surface of the skin.

All you’ve to do is – Drip 1 to 2 teaspoons of jojoba oil or argan oil onto your palms. Use your fingertips to gently massage the oil all over your face for a min of 1 to 2 minutes. Use a damp, warm washcloth to lightly wipe away the oil; careful not to press too hard into the skin. Pat with a dry towel and apply moisturizer if you feel like you need it.

These are really good to keep blackheads at bay as they chemically disintegration the topmost layer of the skin cells and dissolve everything. Thus, unclogging the pores.

Try A Retinoid

Meet the skincare ingredient that needs no introduction. Chances are you’ve heard a fair bit about retinoids and the endless benefits it has to offer. Retinols are vitamin A derivative that is a hero ingredient that is considered to be one of the best in treating skin imperfections through accelerated exfoliation. You have to be patient, though, as they take about 12 weeks to kick in.

It’s important to use them with care as retinoids can be pretty strong. If you’ve never used them before, gradually build up the strength – start off slowly, using it once or twice a week; if you’re not too red or itchy, you can start using it every night. Then once you’re ok with that percentage, you can move up to a stronger dose.
