Let me be straight with you, coconut oil is awesome. This sweet-smelling oil has miraculous benefits and probably why each one of us has it in our vanities. It makes your hair long & strong, deeply moisturizes the skin, aids in healing cracked heels and whatnot.

In traditional beauty practises, coconut oil played a very important role. And all these years later, we still cannot deny its amazing benefits because honestly, it is just so cheap and effective. But there's just one problem we have on our hands right now. Yup, it is now a piece of block.

You know winter is coming when coconut oil turns solid! But do not worry as there are awesome ways you can still use it. Keep reading to know how!

Coconut oil is a great beauty staple. From hair to body to everything in between, there's nothing coconut oil cannot fix. Because of all the amazing fatty acids present in it, such as lauric acid, it serves as a great moisturizing agent all year long. But is it just my mom who stops reaching out for it as soon as the temperature drops and it freezes?

But don't you worry as we are telling you how you can still use it in its solid form.

As A Body Balm

If you have particularly dry skin during winters, then we bet your bedside table must be getting crowded with all sorts of body butters and lotions. Time to deeply moisturize your body, desi style.

Instead of heating the coconut oil, use it all over your body in its solid form. Yup, like a body balm. And as you start to massage it into your skin, it will melt so don't you worry about having huge chunks all over your body.

As A Lip Balm

Yes, we are aware that there is a myriad of lip balms and oils available in the market to moisturize cracked lips. But why not combine the two? If you have dry lips, then using coconut oil is its frozen form will work as a great lip hydrator.

Use take a pea-sized amount, massage it into your lips before sleeping and wake up to lips that bae wouldn't be able to stop kissing.

Deep Conditioner

Nothing calms the (not so) good 'ol frizzy hair like a deep conditioning treatment. And if you have mane that can't be tamed, then applying solid coconut oil to your hair is the best thing you can do.

Take a spoonful of coconut oil and massage it into your hair strads. Avoid applying it on your scalp and it may be a bit of a hassle to remove it completely. Keep it applied for about 30 mins and then wash your hair.

To Remove Water-Proof Makeup

Just like our phones, makeup products as gone through its fair share of updates. Makeup sheets, peel-off makeup, glow in the dark makeup and of course, waterproof makeup products--imagine telling your grandmother about all this!

Talking specifically about waterproof makeup, it is hard to remove, especially the mascara and the liquid lipstick. But there's no beauty woe that coconut oil can't resolve. Just take a tiny amount of solid coconut oil and massage it into the skin to remove makeup! Yup, it is that easy.

DIY Body Scrub

If you love following a proper body care ritual, then you know how important is scrubbing. Time to show your body some au naturale love with a DIY body scrub.

You'll Need:
