The Lazy Girl’s Guide To Glass Skin: 7 Skincare Steps To #GetThatMyGlammGlow

If there’s one thing I admire about the Koreans it is their passion for skincare. From teeny-weeny pimple patches to hydrating sheet masks- no one does skincare better than them. If you take a look at their makeup products, you will be surprised to learn that they have skincare benefits in them too. If you recall, they were the first to invent the 10-step skincare routine and master the art of layering. What’s layering, you ask? It means applying products in a specific order so that your skin gets the most out of them. While it sounds like a lot of effort, it is a lifestyle for them. If you want to join the Korean wave, but can’t make time for ALL the skincare steps, don’t worry, we’ll simplify it for you and recommend products from South Korea too.

So, say hello to MyGlamm’s GLOW skincare range!

Follow This Easy Seven-Step Korean Skincare Routine And #GetThatMyGlammGlow

Even though we’re short of a few steps from the original 10-step Korean routine, we promise you that the results will be even glowier! Get ready to get glass skin in 3…2…1…

Step 1: Double Cleanse

Double cleansing is a genius skincare technique that makes the pores squeaky clean. It involves first washing your face with an oil-based cleanser to remove makeup residue, dirt and grime and later, following it up with a water-based cleanser to remove any traces of makeup and impurities.

Step 2: Toning

While cleansing helps to get rid of the grime on your skin, it also washes away the skin’s natural oils. Investing in a toner helps to maintain the skin’s natural pH levels. Choose one that does not have alcohol and has moisturising ingredients such as bamboo extract, green tea, floral water and ginseng.

Step 3: Essence

No Korean skincare is complete without an essence. What’s an essence, you ask? It’s a less concentrated-version of a serum. Its key function is to pump in moisture and hydration to the skin. If you suffer from pigmentation and inflammation, an essence will help nurse the skin back to health.

Step 4: Moisturise

Moisturising is the last step of a basic CTM routine. If you do it daily, it will keep skin problems such as dryness, oiliness, and flakiness away. Depending on your skin type, you should invest in a moisturiser. If your skin too dry, you will need a thick and heavy cream, if it’s naturally oily, opt for a lightweight one.

Step 5: Eye Cream

Your under-eye area is one of the first places to lose moisture. Dry under eyes are prone to premature ageing and darkening. Including an eye cream into your skincare routine keeps the under-eye area nourished, hydrated and radiant.

Step 6: Sheet Mask

For a heavier dose of hydration, slap on a sheet mask. Sheet masks are great skincare products to soothe tired skin and replenish moisture. For an even more therapeutic experience, roll over the sheet mask with a chilled face roller.

Step 7: Body Lotion

Now, that you’ve shown your face some love, don’t forget to shower your body with attention too! On damp skin, apply body lotion all over your neck, behind your ears, arms, in between your fingers, toes and shins, for a full-body glow!

If you set aside 10 minutes every day to do this 7-step skincare routine using the MyGlamm GLOW skincare range, you will wake up to glowing skin every morning!
