Vitamin E For The Win: 5 Ways To Use It With Your Products For Glowing, Healthy Skin

If you’re someone who’s intrigued by the idea of using Vitamin E for your skin but at the same time, have been totally clueless about how to incorporate it into your skincare regime, then you’ve come to the right place. As most of us already know, Vitamin E is touted as a magic nutrient for healthy skin. After all, it is a nutrient that our body needs to keep regenerating cells. Apart from this, Vitamin E also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that help prevent ageing, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and acne.

The most common Vitamin E capsules in the market are Evion 400 mg and Evion 200 mg, which are used as supplements in order to treat and prevent conditions that are caused due to the lack of Vitamin E. While Evion 400 comes in a larger quantity, it is also more expensive, therefore, it is advisable to start with the Evion 200 capsule.

One of the main reasons we suggest you mix Vitamin E with your regular beauty products and not directly buy Vitamin E-infused products is that if you do so, you might end up burning a hole in your pocket. For example, a 50 ml Vitamin E moisturiser cream costs Rs. 1,000 on average. But you can easily make a DIY Vitamin E moisturiser instead and save all those extra bucks! Now that’s what we call beauty with brains! *wink*

Quick Ways To Use Vitamin E With Your Regular Products

All you need is some Vitamin E capsules or some Vitamin E oil and your regular skincare products to pamper your skin!

With A Moisturising Overnight Cream

Want to wake up looking all fresh and glowy? Well, here’s the perfect hack! All you need to do is add a few drops of Vitamin E oil into a dollop of your regular night cream. Apply it over your face and get that 8-hour-long beauty sleep. This mixture acts as a serum and penetrates deeper into your skin. Just make sure that you apply it at least half an hour before you hit the bed because one, you wouldn’t want your pillow to absorb the moisturiser instead of your skin, and second, you definitely don’t want to be washing it off the sheets next day!

With A Regular Hair Oil

Tired of your unmanageable, frizzy hair? Well, we’ve all been there! But there’s nothing that Vitamin E hair oil cannot fix. Vitamin E is known to have properties that can help transform damaged hair into shiny, luscious locks. All you need to do is squeeze out the oil from a capsule and mix 2 drops with your regular hair oil. You know the remaining drill! Gently massage your hair with the oil mix and leave it on for 2-3 hours. Wash it off with a mild shampoo and warm water. You can repeat this twice a week and you’ll start noticing results in just a matter of two-three weeks.

With Under-Eye Gel Or Cream

Vitamin E is said to have protective properties that help reduce pigmentation and puffiness. Therefore, if you’re trying to get rid of those stubborn dark circles, all you need to do is add a twist to your regular under-eye cream and mix a few drops of vitamin E oil with it. Apply and massage it around your eyes for 2-3 days and you will notice a change. This is a great way to reduce dark circles. Various brands have come up with Vitamin E eye cubes but with this simple hack, there is no need for you to invest in those.

With Nail Cream

Vitamin E is also an agent of growth and therefore, no prizes for guessing that just like your hair, it can also do wonders to your nails. Add 1-2 drops of Vitamin E oil from the capsule to your regular nail cream, and massage your nails and cuticles gently. I’d suggest you do this as a part of your night-time beauty regime so that your nails get the required moisture and nourishment.

With Face Serum

Vitamin E oil has some wonderful anti-ageing properties. Therefore, you can use it with your regular face serum to get rid of fine lines. All you need to do is mix 1-2 drops with your serum and coat it over your face. Tap and massage in a circular motion for best results. You can do this regularly to keep your skin firm and plump.

Things To Keep In Mind

  • If you’re using Vitamin E capsules or oil for the first time, please conduct a patch test at the back of your hand wait for 24 hours to see if it suits your skin.
  • Start with less and then gradually work your way to a more generous application.
  • Make sure you mix a pea-sized amount of Vitamin E with your regular products since it can otherwise clog pores and cause breakouts.
  • If you have dry skin, you can leave the Vitamin E infused face product on for longer durations. Else, if you have excessively oily skin then you are advised to wash it off after 15 minutes.

So, what are you waiting for? Try these DIY Vitamin E products at home–you skin (and wallet) will thank you!
