Ready for some hair flips?💁🏻♀️ . Assistant editor @nidhikavle learnt this trick from a salon. Add a spoonfull of oil to any hair mask or conditioner and apply from lengths to tips. Let it sink in for an hour or so while you finish your chores. Wash off with regular shampoo and skip conditioner. Argan or Jojoba works best to soften the hair. . Pro tip: give your hair a steam or if u dont have a steamer, use a blow drier on high heat setting and run it along your hair. this will make sure the mask and oil penetrate deeper and soften the hair . rinse off normally after and you can skip conditioning. . . #popxobeautytips #popxobeautylab #beautyhacks #hairhacks #diy #hairtips #hairconditioner #popxodiy
Can you believe how easy it was? Just add a spoonful of argan oil in your conditioner and apply the mask for 30 mins before taking a shower.
Missing using fancy soaps? Don't worry, hum hain na!
- Soap bars (or a melt-and-pour soap base)
- Essential oils
- Food colour
- Cute moulds (if you don't have cupcake moulds, you can even use plastic containers.)
- Dried up rose petals
Using a microwave container, melt all your soaps and keep mixing until everything is at a liquid consistency. Pour your liquid soap into the moulds to create fun shapes. Add the essential oils of your choice. We say, add a different one in each mould to have different fragrances. Add dried up rose petals, orange peels or even cosmetic glitter chunks, or mica (if you have any) to make your soaps look pretty.
Optional ingredients that you can add to your soaps:
- 1/4 tsp Charcoal powder (for oily, acne-prone skin)
- 1/4 tsp Multani mitti (for all skin types)
- 1/2 tsp walnut shell powder (to make a scrub soap)
What time is it? It's DIY time!
