As cliché as it might sound, setting realistic goals is crucial for any plan to succeed. You are likely to quit if you don’t have smaller goals laid down. Even though you have six months to work on yourself, making short-term goals will help. Take it 15 days at a time and give it your best. These could be as basic as everyday cardio for 20 mins + 20 pushups.

2. Set Your Own Pace

You know your body well so once you have an idea about what you’re aiming for, find a plan that works for you and your body. There are so many online apps available that will not only help you tailor your workout, they will also track your progress. Take it nice and slow, you have a lot of time on your hands.

3. Cardio Is Your Best Friend

If you’re looking at losing weight, a cardio routine is essential. Believe us, it is nearly impossible to lose weight without including cardio in your exercise regime. Brisk walking or running can do wonders to your body but since we can’t step out right now, even a home workout will do you good.

4. Evaluate Your Progress Every 15 Days

Seeing a change in your body is what will motivate you the most! Assess your progress every 15 days or so. Check your weight, take your measurements and see how you feel overall. You can make small changes to your routine based on the progress. You may feel like switching up your diet or following an exercise plan that focuses on one particular part of your body.

5. Eat Healthy

There’s no doubt that nutrition and exercise go hand in hand. A major part of your weight loss depends on what you’re eating. Therefore, start your fitness routine with a healthy diet plan. A healthy diet will keep your energy levels up, keep your body fit and will also give you glowing skin and shiny hair.

6. Make Sure You Sleep Well

Make sure you’re getting a good 7 to 9 hours sleep every night. Do not let Instagram make you stay up! Not getting enough sleep can affect your metabolism negatively and you won’t be able to burn those calories if your metabolism rate slows down. Sleep deprivation can also lead to unwanted weight gain.

So girls, get started and don’t let anything hold you back!
