How to make: Take a glass of warm water add the juice of half a lemon and one teaspoon of honey and drink it.

Jeera Water

One of the major causes for bloating is digestive problems and if you suffer from these on a regular basis then you need to start drinking jeera water in the morning. Cumin or jeera seeds are known for their digestion boosting properties and relieving one from acidity and bloating. 

How to make: Add one teaspoon of jeera to one cup of water and bring it to a boil. Allow it to cool and then drink it on an empty stomach.

 

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar has been everyone’s miracle find over the past few years. Almost every health enthusiast today gushes about the many health benefits of the drink. It helps in weight loss, lowers bad cholesterol, improves digestion, and balances pH level of the skin. 

How to make: Add one teaspoon of ACV to warm water, add a pinch of cinnamon and one tablespoon of honey and drink up.

Ajwain or carom seeds are loaded with therapeutic properties because they have the essential oil called thymol present in them. This is very good for improving digestion, promoting weight loss and treating acidity. 

How to make: Add half a teaspoon of ajwain to one cup of water and bring it to a boil. Let it then cool to infuse the flavour.

It’s a rich source of fibre which helps you stay fuller for longer, stopping you from overeating and munching. It also has diuretic properties and hence helps to expel toxins from the body. It even improves metabolism. 

How to make: Take two teaspoons of fennel seeds and add them in a glassful of water and leave it overnight. Drink this first thing in the morning.

Turmeric Water

When we talk about digestive problems, turmeric or haldi is a must. It’s packed with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that are used for treating different ailments. Turmeric is also an immunity booster and helps with digestive issues like gas, bloating and easy bowel movement. Hence, it is best to have it first thing in the morning to help rid your body of all the toxins.

How to make: Boil a cup of water in a pan. Put a teaspoon of haldi and half a teaspoon of lemon juice in a cup and pour the water in it. You can also add some honey to sweeten the drink if you like. Drink lukewarm.
