Team POPxo Talks About Creepy Experiences That Gave Them The Chills!

When it comes to supernatural activities, beliefs, and ideologies, everyone has something to say. Some people believe in ghosts, while others strongly believe that it's only in our heads and then there people like me who do not believe in ghosts but do believe that there is something out there that cannot be explained by scientists!

And if you ever had or experienced any creepy experiences yourself, you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Feelin' spooky, yet?

Team POPxo Shares Their Creepiest Experiences

No matter what your opinion is, there are some things that just cannot be explained.

My colleagues and I have had these creepy experience(s) and we would like to share them with you! Some of these will make you want to sleep with the lights on tonight!

Okay, so this weird thing happened when I went to a party in Jaipur. It was being held in an open garden, complete with ‘fake’ huts, wells and lakes, to give it a village sorta appeal. It was really cool, tbh. Anyways, I was like 11 years old at the time and like every child at that age, my inquisitive soul was wandering around the garden when I saw this 'well' and I looked down.

I saw a face. I swear, it came out of nowhere, looked up (at me?) and went inside the wall? It was really creepy and I remember telling my grandparents about it who totally ignored my fatuous claims!

I still wonder what was that? Could it have been a creepy reflection of someone standing beside me? But then, how did we make eye contact? What that a ghost?
Is it just me or the air suddenly became chilly?

My experience with something *supernatural* happened when I was a university student. I went to Denmark to represent a research paper and we checked-in to a hotel far away from the venue. My batchmate and I were staying in the same room. The first day we entered the room, we saw an open bible with a page marked. I still remember the page number, it was page number 39.

It was kept open as if someone was reading the bible and left the room. My batchmate closed the bible. In the night, when I was going to the bathroom, I saw the book open again with the same page number. I closed the book. So creepy! But in the morning, it was open again to the same page and we got really scared. We requested for a room change. I shall never forget this creepy experience.

I usually never sleep in my parent’s room, but that night, I came home from work exhausted and crashed on their bed. What followed after still remains fresh in my mind. In the middle of the night, I felt that someone crept into my blanket and hugged me. I couldn’t see this person (or creature) or even had the strength to move a finger. I like to believe it was sleep paralysis, but something, even more, creepier followed. Whatever that 'thing' was, it pushed me out of my body and suddenly, there I was, floating aimlessly around the room. I had this 360-degree vision and had no form. In this state, my identity, my profession, my name, my relationships - all of it did not matter. I just existed at peace somewhere in the universe. I could see the humidifier in the room, my mother sleeping next to me, the family picture above our bed, and then me, lying lifeless on the bed. The strange part is that I did not recognise myself nor paid attention to that mysterious thing holding on to me. I had no inclination to go back to my body either. However, this state was temporary, I was pulled by forced back into my body. The first thing I did when I got back into my senses, took a deep breath! Tears followed after. My mom woke up, switched on the lights on and hugged me. I was trembling and could not make sense of the creepy situation at all. That experience has definitely changed me. I somehow feel more in tune with my feelings and energies around me ever since. Till today, I do not know what that was, but I think, it gave me a clue of what the afterlife might be if there is one. I now don’t fear the concept of death. I don’t know what’s in store for us on the other side, but I’m sure, we’ll be alright.

So, I’m talking about an incident that happened nearly 14 years ago. I was in the second year of college when this tragic incident happened. One of my very close friends died in a road accident while he was returning home to Delhi. He was like a brother to me and was close to my entire family. I still remember when I had called him and someone else answered his phone, only to tell me that my friend isn’t alive anymore. We all went to his cremation and once I was back home, I couldn't stop thinking about him. I was staring at the wall of my room and something creepy happened. I felt something beside me. It was HIM. Yes, you read that right. I felt his presence for a couple of seconds. It felt like he was sitting right beside me. Yes, I was sad and nothing can fill the void but I can definitely term the experience as creepy.

I am certainly not one of those who believe in ghosts but I cannot watch a scary movie in a theatre. That thrill isn’t for me. This one time in college, my friends told me that they’ve booked an animated movie but once it started, I realised it was Conjuring 2. I wanted to leave right away but they didn’t let me. I survived the movie but only because I played games on my phone the entire time to avoid looking at the screen. And when I was walking back home, I swear I felt someone tap on my back. I turned around and there were two kids but they were so far off that it wasn't possible that either of them touched me. It was so creepy!

I will never forget how terrified I was. I couldn’t go to the washroom alone for 3 days! My friends enjoyed every bit of my situation by pulling the hide-and-clap stunt on me every time I was alone for even a second. Never watch a horror film again or walking a street alone, again!
