2019 may have been a crappy year for most of us otherwise but if there was something right about this year, it was definitely the fashion moments we witnessed. Our favourite celebrities served us with so many mind-blowing looks this year, we were talking about them for a long time! From plunging necklines to daring silhouettes to off-beat outfits, it was a year where our Instagram was filled with our celebs looking bomb!

1. You Can’t Sit With Her
This list has to start with a woman who hasn’t aged a day since she made her debut in 1966. Rekhaji stepped out for a casual visit to Manish Malhotra in a white kaftan with a headband and man, what a beauty! Can I just say that she’s making me want to rock this retro-style too! I’d like to be a grandmom who sips on her margarita and has this amount of swag one day.
2. Jenny From The Block Is Back
We were left with our mouths wide open when Jennifer Lopez strutted down the runway at Milan Fashion Week in a recreation of the green iconic Versace she wore to the Grammy Award in 2000. Also, can someone please tell us what her skincare routine is? Cause she sure looks exactly like she did 20 years ago!
3. A Gown Or A Sculpture?
Radhika Apte’s look for this year’s Emmy Awards made her look like a beautiful figurine we’d love to place in the centre of our house. The actor, who was nominated for her part in Netflix’s Lust Stories, stunned in all her outfits but this one took the cake!
4. Little Red Riding Hood?
How can we have a list of biggest fashion moments and not have Ranveer Singh? The man sure has a quirky dressing sense, to say the least! Wearing a full-length hoodie by the Indian brand Almost Gods, Ranveer looked like Little Red Riding Hood but we couldn’t figure out if we loved or hated it!

Rihanna is the reality check our fashion world needed. The singer, who’s now a beauty mogul and fashion designer, chose to have lifelike mannequins in her first pop-up. The mannequins had tummy fat, big hips and thick thighs, nothing that we would expect to see. Girl loves to keep it real!
6. Rocking Babbu The Painter
Let us warn you, Rhea Kapoor is on this list more than once. By now, it’s well-established in everyone’s minds that this Kapoor loves Anamika Khanna more than any designer. So when she wore a handpainted outfit the designer made in collaboration with Babneet Lakhesar, the Indo-Canadian artist aka ‘Babbu The Painter’, we couldn’t stop swooning over the outfit.
7. Plunging Pant Suit
Another glorious fashion look was served to us by the Queen of Sass, Kangana Ranaut at the Cannes Film Festival. Donning a black Nedret Taciroglu pantsuit, Kangana looked fierce. Love love love!
8. A Gift From Above
Deepika is a gift to us mere mortals from the heavens above. The stunner just carries off everything effortlessly and when she stepped on to the Cannes red carpet in a custom Peter Dundas gown, all of us just wanted to unwrap our gift! Our apologies to Ranveer but she’s our Girl Crush Everyday!
9. Priyanka’s Mad Hatter Look
Priyanka Chopra’s Met Gala look this year was quite a shocker. This year, the theme of ‘Camp: Notes Of Fashion’ and let’s just say PeeCee’s outfit, inspired by the Mad Hatter from Alice In The Wonderland, was on point because it was quite a surprise.
10. Give Them A Boot
Rhea Kapoor is known for her fun and quirky style but we were truly surprised when she decided to pair black boots with an Anamika Khanna. The heavily embroidered outfit, with intricate detailing, isn’t the first outfit that comes to mind when you’re pairing black boots but man, she rocked it!
11. Dripping Wet
There’s something new we’ve come to expect from Kim Kardashian West every time she steps out and she did not disappoint at this year’s Met Gala. Wearing a custom Thierry Mugler, KKW looked like she’d just stepped out of the shower and into our hearts.
12. Money Well Spent?
Shloka Mehta’s wedding jewellery was so opulent and fancy, we literally had to wear sunglasses while browsing through the pictures ‘coz we were blinded by the bling!
13. No Peek-A-Boo Here!
Kim Kardashian left nothing to the imagination when she walked out in a vintage 1998 Thierry Mugler dress. The bondage-inspired dress quickly became one of her most talked-about looks. It was also in the news because the knock-off of the dress quickly started circulating on websites such as Fashion Nova and KKW called them out for that.
14. Couple Goals!
Ranveer and Deepika are absolutely made for each other and we have no doubts about that. When they both turned up in whacky costumes for IIFA Awards, 2019, we couldn’t help but love and appreciate how these two always end up taking their fashion game up a notch.
15. Floral Princess
Alia Bhatt is a perfect bridesmaid. From tearing up when she sees her bestie performing to bringing her A-game with her outfits, everything she does is perfect. Just like this floral outfit from Anushree Reddy which is perfect for a summer wedding!
16. A Good Head On His Shoulders
Celebs served us some really good looks this year on the Met Gala Red Carpet but if there was one celeb who was discussed for a long time, it was Jared Leto. It wasn’t his red silk Gucci gown or the silver chains that stole the show, it was his accessory that had people talking. Leto decided to carry a replica of his own head on the red carpet. Have to admit it was quite creepy but what else do we expect from the Joker?
17. The Debutante’s Dress
Making a debut at Le Ball Paris is a big deal and this year Shanaya Kapoor made it in style. She looked like a princess in a beautiful red ruffled gown by Lecoanet Hemant with a plunging neckline and we’re sure all eyes were on her!
18. In Billy’s Style
Billy Porter has had quite an eventful year when it comes to his fashion choices. While most of his costumes were gender-bending, it was his Oscar look that took the cake. He arrived on the red carpet in a custom, hybrid tuxedo ballgown by Christian Siriano and completely slayed it!
19. Bling Bling!
Everyone had to put on their sunglasses because Lady Gaga blinded us all with the 128-carat yellow diamond she wore to the Oscar’s, valued at almost $30 million. This was the first time this 141-year old diamond was worn on the red carpet and who better than Lady Gaga to carry it?
20. ‘Bebo Main Bebo’
2019 is coming to an end and Bebo served us a look that will make the whole year memorable. For the promotions of her new movie Good Newzz, Kareena wore a saree with her name handpainted right across her chest. The pastel blue saree from Picchika by Urvashi Sethi has given us new self-love goals and we’re on board!
