It's a Monday, the first day of the week and the most important one. It's the perfect day to make brand new choices and set goals for the week ahead. But Mondays can be hard to conquer, it might not be your favourite day and we get that. There's only so much that a good cup of coffee can fix, right? If you're in search of that small boost, that little something-something to bring back the energy levels your 15-year-old self had, I would like to share with you a kickass morning routine. In my opinion, the way you choose to start your morning sets the mood for the entire day. So, what better way to power through the week than to have a fail-proof morning routine?
It's taken me a while to get here but making these small changes has already proven fruitful. I'm productive, energetic and always ready to shake that booty.
The weekend of partying and binge-watching Netflix has finally caught up, what do you do? Sleep in a little longer? No! I push myself to wake up earlier and get a head start to the week. I start my morning with some of my favourite music, turn up the volume and dance around my room for a bit. Then, I drink two glasses of cold water, do some yoga or squeeze in a quick Zumba sesh. If you're not a morning person, trust me, Zumba is your answer. It really gets you in the mood and you won't even realize that you're working out.
After brushing my teeth, I hop into the shower and use the New Skin Is In, Chamomile & Aloe Vera Deep Cleansing Creme by POPxo. My face demands a thorough cleansing in the morning because I apply facial oils at night. Ever since I've switched to this, it has become my top-shelf fave. I always wash my hair on a Monday morning and I make it a point to deep condition it too. I apply a generous amount to shampooed hair and let it sink in for about 5-10 minutes, I use that time to exfoliate my skin or shave if I need to. This routine keeps my hair looking fresh n' fab throughout the week and my skin, well, let's just say you need to try out a jade roller, STAT!
And honestly, that's about it - a little music, some cardio and a solid beauty routine is all it takes me to power through the week. I think it's safe to say, I'm loving this newfound boost of confidence and energy. It's like a whole new and improved version of myself.
