Janhvi Kapoor Becomes The Target Of Trolls As She Holds Book Upside-Down At Its Launch

Janhvi Kapoor Becomes The Target Of Trolls As She Holds Book Upside-Down At Its Launch

In the world of the internet, celebrities are constantly scrutinised for everything they do. Their every word and action is judged and they’re trolled for their mistakes publically. Most stars go through it but the big names of the industry get especially targeted. Janhvi Kapoor has been criticised for her dressing, comments and for being launched by Karan Johar. This time again she’s at the forefront of it.

The Dhadak actor was seen in New Delhi for the book launch of writer Harinder Sikka’s Hindi edition of Calling Sehmat. When the paparazzi clicked her pictures though, she was holding it upside down and this made netizens troll her left, right and center. This is the same book that Meghna Gulzar’s film Raazi (starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal) was based on.

Dressed to slay though, the young actress looked stunning in an off-white Tarun Tahiliani saree. She paired it with a spaghetti strap blouse and owned the desi beauty look. She kept her makeup natural and fresh. A slightly smokey eyeliner with a nude shadow and a pinkish-nude lipstick. Just perfect! Janhvi wore pink statement earrings to pull the whole ensemble together.

On the work front, Janhvi will be seen in Kargil Girl, RoohiAfza and Karan Johar’s much-anticipated multi-starer, Takht. She has also been signed for Netflix’s next production Ghost Stories, a collection of four short films by some of the biggest directorial names in the industry- Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, and Dibaker Banerjee. These four got together previously for Lust Stories and for Bombay Talkies.

Well, we believe that to err is human and even if she did hold the book upside down in a few pictures at the launch, it’s okay. She’s only human, after all. Also, when you are holding the book for the camera you really can’t tell if it’s straight in the wrong way. At least she wasn’t reading it upside-down so let’s give her a break alright?
