Saheb, Biwi Aur Woh: 8 Of The Most Controversial Real-Life Bollywood Love Triangles

The funny thing about Bollywood celebrities is that they are in some way or the other always caught in controversies. Sometimes for their views and opinion and other times because of their personal lives. When it comes to love, let's just say that Bollywood is not that lucky. We often hear of breakups that shake our faith in love and sometimes the news is about an alleged love triangle.

8 Most Controversial Real Life Love Triangles In Bollywood

There is no way to be absolutely sure of these, but if rumours are to go by then these love affairs and triangles are all true. Some of them even read like the plot of a Bollywood movie!

Katrina Kaif-Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt

Starting with the latest on the list. Ranbir and Katrina dated for seven years before their relationship hit a rough patch. Katrina was upset with Ranbir’s alleged proximity to Alia during the shoot of Brahmastra. Apparently, Katrina and Alia were BFFs before the Ranbir chapter shattered their bond. Poor Kat was also disappointed with Alia for keeping her growing friendship with Ranbir under wraps.

Mona Kapoor-Boney Kapoor-Sridevi

Sridevi was living with Mona Kapoor and Boney Kapoor (who she used to address as her brother) when an affair brew between them. So much so that Sridevi got pregnant with her first child, Janhvi Kapoor. The couple later got married in a temple and Boney Kapoor left his first wife and two kids to live with Sridevi.

Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif-Ranbir Kapoor

Both onscreen and offscreen, Salman and Katrina are probably the most loved pair in Bollywood. Just when their fans were speculating that the duo will take a nuptial plunge, Katrina started dating Ranbir. However, now that Ranbir and Katrina are no longer together, it appears Salman and Katrina are once again on friendly terms. Complicated much?

Salman Khan-Aishwarya Rai-Vivek Oberoi

Seems like Bhaijaan has a long history of appearing in love triangles, just like Ranbir Kapoor! Salman Khan fell head over heels in love with Bollywood beauty Aishwarya Rai during the shooting of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. However, owing to the mental and physical assault subjected to her by Salman, Aish called it quits. She soon found solace in Vivek Oberoi. However, things didn’t go as planned and eventually they broke up too.

Shahid Kapoor-Kareena Kapoor-Saif Ali Khan

Shahid and Kareena's on-screen pair was a huge hit in Jab We Met. Rumours were rife that the two were dating in real life too. Bebo even turned vegetarian for Shahid! It was on the sets of Tashan that Kareena fell for the charms of the Chote Nawab and everything is history since then.

Sussanne Khan-Hrithik Roshan-Barbara Mori

Childhood sweethearts Hrithik and Sussanne were happily married for 14 years when rumours started doing the rounds that Hrithik was cheating on Sussanne with his Kites co-star, Barbara Mori. The couple finally ended their marriage in 2014 but still continue to be good friends.

Shilpa Shetty-Akshay Kumar-Twinkle Khanna

Akshay Kumar was quite a casanova before he met and married his now-wife, Twinkle Khanna. Akshay and Shilpa Shetty’s relationship began during the shooting of Main Khiladi Tu Anadi but Khiladi Kumar was double dating both Shilpa and her best friend Twinkle. When Shilpa discovered this, the couple had a bitter (and very public) breakup.

Rekha-Amitabh Bachchan-Jaya Bachchan

The movie Silsila was apparently inspired by this real-life romance. Rekha and Amitabh Bachchan’s alleged relationship became the talk of the town when Rekha attended Rishi Kapoor and Nitu’s wedding wearing a mangalsutra and sindoor! The rumour mill had it that the duo had secretly tied the knot while Mr Bachchan was already married to Jaya Bachchan.

Love triangles are complicated and always leave one person with a broken heart. We're glad that most of these celebrities eventually found their happily ever after.
