I Am A Woman, I Love Watching Porn And My Sex Life Is So Much Better For It

If you ever walked in on someone masturbating while watching a porn site, there is a fair chance that it would be a woman. I may not be your most reliable source of this piece of blasphemous information, but you cannot discredit 10 years of Pornhub data. According to a study by the porn website, women spend 1:14 more minutes a day watching pornographic content than men.

Personally, I feel I have spent more time educating myself on the different genres of erotic content and identifying my tastes than having real sex. And let me tell you, flicking the bean is no less divine than an actual intercourse session. With so much kinky stuff out there, who would want any slowing down?

As a novice, I used to watch porn surreptitiously, but so do men! Initially, there were also strong inhibitions stemmed from hours of online research on how porn can negatively affect, if not totally ruin, your sex life. But as a loyal Pornhub viewer for the last five years now, I am the guinea pig whose story you need to know to believe that watching porn can make your sex life better.

Watching Porn Taught Me Not To Settle For Less

Research says that 75% women have never reached an orgasm from intercourse alone. But to protect their partner’s feelings they never confide in them about this. Porn not only brought me the self-pleasure I always wanted, but also gave me the confidence to show my partner how I bring myself to orgasm. Rather than faking it like most women do, I started including him in my endeavors to explore new ways of attaining pleasure.

It Satisfied The Fetishes That My Partner Is Not Into

Probably the best thing about porn is that it helps me satisfy the desires I yearn for but that my partner doesn’t approve of. If you have a thing for dominatrix costumes but your boyfriend is not aroused by it then, Hello porn! Thankfully, there’s a site for even the weirdest of fetishes.

Porn Taught Me What My Bio Textbooks Could Never

I wouldn’t say that porn is a replacement to sex education. If a teen thinks it is okay to have sex while driving a car (thanks to porn again), he/she is in for some real danger in the future. But with the amount of sexual education I received as a teenager, I wonder what life would have been had there been no internet.

It Helped Me Explore My Sexuality

TBH I had a clear idea on what exactly I like in bed only after I saw someone else do it on the internet. It really comforted me to know that there are others out there who get turned on by bizarre foreplays. Only when I was exposed to sexual practices (thanks to porn) that didn’t fall in the category of ‘conventional’, I started feeling normal about my desires.

It Made Me Sexually Confident In My Relationship

Once I confided in my boyfriend that I watch porn, we started communicating more openly about our sexcapades and it became easier for both of us to ask for what we wanted. We started experimenting with positions, we wouldn’t have otherwise. We also started discussing our fantasies, watching them on screen, and trying them IRL. Trust me, sex had never been more satisfying and fun before!

Not Exaggerating, But It Relieved Stress

Like sex, porn too, helps in destressing. I don’t have to wait for someone to come home and for fuck sake (quite literally) set the mood for them. With porn, I am my own master. All I have to do is lock the room, turn off the lights and get under the covers with my phone. Plus, there’s nothing wrong in indulging in this, even if you and your partner have a healthy sex life.

Because Science Backs It Up Too

Contrary to the popular belief that watching porn can lead to a decline in the desire to have sex, some scientists beg to differ. In a study published in the journal Sexual Medicine, experts argued that at least 40 minutes of sex twice a week can boost your sex drive and your overall desire to have sex. I think this timing is just perfect if you want to be called a recreational user of porn while still not being an addict.

As cliche as it may sound, but too much of anything can be dangerous and the same goes with porn. Porn, by no means, can replace good and satisfying sex, but it is definitely a great addition to a healthy sexual life.
