In 2014, POPxo's team of five people was working out of a small space in Hauz Khas Village, Delhi. Five years later, we're a family of 180, working out of sprawling offices in Mumbai and Gurgaon. So, as POPxo turns five, we are excited to share the year that was. The stories, videos, and social media posts that you loved, the milestones we achieved and the next big thing on our roadmap. You'll be surprised at how far we've come in only five years!
With English and Hindi content giving us over 39 million monthly active users across all platforms and social media channels, we decided to take things up a notch and launched four new languages - Tamil, Telugu, Marathi and Bangla.
The idea? Catering to a much wider audience by offering a platform that speaks their language.
Our page views and video views are off the chart, if we may say so ourselves. The app registers 50 million users on the POPxo app, 12 million fans on Facebook, 2.7 subscribers on YouTube and 700 thousand on Instagram who spent a total 40 million hours on POPxo. Whoa! In fact, our videos recorded a collective 2 billion views and 36 billion social media impressions, which is crazy amazing, right?
On the fifth anniversary of POPxo, we announced the launch of a new product - Luxeva.com. Luxeva is a digital-first luxury content platform for men and women across all lifestyle categories who are looking to live their best life.
In July 2017, POPxo launched Plixxo, a one of its kind platform that aimed to get all digital influencers in India in one single place and connect them with brands to help create engaging content. Today, almost two years later, there are over 37,000 influencers on Plixxo, helping brands, as well as influencers, execute large scale campaigns.
We're a digital platform for women all over the country so it only made sense for us to venture into the field of e-commerce. We launched POPxo shop with a wide range of phone covers, sweatshirts, stationery, bags, pouches and many other products designed keeping in mind the millennials and their preferences.
POPxo prides itself in being the largest digital community for women. So, on the occasion of International Women's Day 2019, POPxo ran a campaign called #POPxoWomenWantMore. For the campaign, over 7,000 women were surveyed over a duration of seven days. The POPxo community also created 865 questions and 236 polls and the interactions were across all six languages.
