Mash bananas in a bowl until they are free of lumps. Add olive oil, lemon juice and honey to the bowl of mashed bananas. Mix it well to make a consistent paste. Apply it to the scalp and hair. Move from the roots to tips. Leave this hair mask on hair for about 30 minutes. Then wash your hair with lukewarm or cold water. For the wash, use a shampoo that is free of parabens and sulfates.
This hair mask is perfect for people who have dry hair and an oily scalp. While banana, honey and olive oil in the mask work to condition and nourish your hair and soothe the scalp, lemon juice works on existing dandruff on the scalp.
If you already have straight hair, you would probably like to keep it healthy, smooth and shiny. Make a smooth paste out of the banana in a bowl. Add honey and argan oil to it and mix them well. Apply on hair from roots to tips. Cover your hair and scalp with a shower cap for 20 minutes. Rinse thoroughly and wash it off with your regular shampoo and conditioner.
While banana conditions and provides a shot of potassium to your hair, argan oil makes the hair shinier, softer and silkier. Also known as liquid gold, argan oil is an ideal leave-in conditioner for our strands and can tame frizz. It's extremely rich in fatty acids and vitamin E.

1 ripe banana, 1 teaspoon gelatin powder, 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar and 1/2 cup yoghurt
Mix the ingredients in a blender. Apply the paste on the strands directly and wait for two hours for the mixture to settle. Then rinse thoroughly with shampoo and conditioner. This mask is meant to be used fresh. Do not store it, at least not more than a week.
Banana works on nourishing and smoothening the hair while yoghurt, apple cider vinegar and gelatin powder works on the scalp and calming the mane.
Maintaining curly hair can be a challenge for some but they do need a similar amount of nourishment and conditioning as any other hair type. So try this banana and egg hair mask.
1 ripe banana, 1 egg, 3 tablespoons honey, 3 tablespoons milk and 4 tablespoons olive oil.
Make a smooth paste of banana in a bowl, mix a beaten egg, honey, milk and olive oil to it. Once the blend is consistent, apply it on your hair from root to tips using a wide-tooth comb. Leave it in for 25-30 minutes and then wash your hair thoroughly with your regular shampoo. If your hair isn't very damaged, keep the mask on for 15-20 minutes.
While banana conditions and the potassium nurtures hair, the egg helps in providing the necessary protein and fat to the mane. It makes hair smooth without affecting the natural curls.
This mask is good for summer as the heat coming from the sun in those days is too much for your hair to bear. This hair mask also helps in straightening hair naturally.
1/2 ripe banana, 3 tablespoon honey, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 tablespoon plain Greek yoghurt, a few drops of your favourite essential oil (I prefer rosemary) and 1 tablespoon lemon juice.

Mash the banana in a bowl until it's lump-free and add yoghurt to it. Ones it forms a consistent blend, Add honey, lemon juice, and olive oil to the mix. Add a few drops of essential oil later. The essential oil you're adding to the paste will leave your hair with a sweet scent, so use the oil you like. The mixture will be creamy, so apply it to your damp hair and comb through using a comb with wide teeth. Put on a shower cap for 20 minutes. Later, rinse it with lukewarm water and then wash your hair with your regular shampoo and conditioner.
While banana, olive oil and honey provide nourishment, lemon and yoghurt work on the scalp and deep condition your hair. As it has zinc and lactic acid, yoghurt improves blood circulation and provides protein and nourishment to the hair. It stimulates growth and works as a natural cleanser by healing an itchy scalp.
