3. Pick A Hair Removal Method Wisely
Waxing or shaving, both have their pros and cons. Get a full Brazilian wax done if it’s your first time removing bum fuzz. The effects last longer and your bum feels super soft and smooth. If you can bear the pain, shaving is your next alternative. However, your hair will grow again after a week and if you’re inexperienced, you could cut yourself and get an unwanted infection. Waxing is a far better alternative for long-term results.
4. Be Extra Careful During Your Periods
Backflows are a real deal and can happen to any woman. During your period, things can get pretty messy down there. Constantly changing your pad can cause friction which, in turn, can cause butt acne. A smart move would be to switch to tampons. That way, you won’t stain your underwear and you’ll never experience itchiness on the booty.
5. Choose The Right Underwear

I love using clay masks to clear acne, exfoliate, tighten and brighten my skin. One of my all time favourites has been the Aztec Indian Healing Clay Mask (Rs 999). I'm taking this as the perfect opportunity to give my peaches some pampering before my next beach vacay!
Step 1: Exfoliation is key. Scrub!
Step 2: Tighten and brighten! Use your favourite clay mask.
Step 3: Hydrate! If you're feeling wild, you can always put on a sheet mask (or two) and wake up to a hydrated tush! Alternatively, you can use a good body moisturiser or a body oil.

1. Garlic Paste To The Rescue
Garlic has two powerful bioactive compounds - diallyl sulfide and diallyl disulfide. These two compounds together have the power to get rid of butt acne. All you’ve got to do is chop a few garlic pods, mash them up in a mixer and apply the paste to your buttocks. Use your hand to spread the paste and leave it on for a good 10-15 minutes. Wash it off with chilled water. Twice a month is good enough.
2. Lime Juice For The Win
If the acne on your butt has left you with scars, it’s time to befriend lemons. Lemon juice acts as a natural bleaching agent and does a fab job at treating bumps and spots. Slice a lemon and rub one half on your butt cheek in circular motions. Leave it there for about 10-15 minutes. Wash after with lukewarm water. If you experience skin burn during this experiment, wash the lemon juice off or dilute it with room temperature water.
3. How About Some Diluted Eucalyptus Oil?
If your skin is oily and sweaty down there, eucalyptus oil can help. It helps by reducing the size of sebaceous glands and reduces the amount of oil your pores produce. If the scent of the eucalyptus oil is too strong, add a couple of drops of grapeseed oil. In the first month itself, you’ll be able to see the first sign of results.
4. Turmeric Paste Has Super Powers
Before you take a shower, make a paste using water and turmeric powder. Since turmeric has antiseptic and antibacterial properties, your booty is going to be in safe hands. If you have any cuts, burns and boils, turmeric also helps with healing and soothing the pain away.
5. Tea Tree Oil Is A Rockstar
When it comes to butt acne, tea tree oil is the most effective. The antimicrobial properties in tea tree oil help to soothe the area and get rid of acne eventually. Although it’s safe to directly use tea tree oil on your butt, you may experience skin reactions because of the liquid being too strong. You can dilute it using water or aloe gel.
6. Tulsi Leaves Are The Best
When all hope is gone, make the most of tulsi leaves. These leaves are rich in vitamin K and have antimicrobial powers. All you’ve got to do is grind the leaves, mix the paste with water and apply it to your acne thrice a day.
You just need two ingredients to make this scrub. Brown sugar helps in exfoliation and vanilla makes that booty smell yummy. No more dead skin cells on your backside at all, just soft, supple and smooth skin.
Step 1: Pour 2 cups of sugar in a bowl.
Step 2: Add a few drops of vanilla extract and give it a good stir. You can also add some essential oil while you’re at it.
Step 3: Now, use your hand to scoop up the paste and apply it to your butt. Don’t forget to do so in circular motions.
Step 4: Use lukewarm water to wash it off.
Twice a month is more than enough.
If you need to give the skin on your booty a bit of a hydration boost, consider making a scrub using avocado oil and cucumber pulp.
Step 1: Take a peeled cucumber and mask it up with a spoon.
Step 2: Drizzle the avocado oil over the pulp and use your fingers to mix both ingredients.
Step 3: Apply to your love cheeks and gently scrub the paste around.
Step 4: Wait for about 30 minutes and clean your booty with mild soap and lukewarm water.
Thrice a month for positive results.
Honey is antibacterial in nature and helps moisturise dry skin. It also protects your booty from acne and spots. Lemons, on the other hand, are loaded with vitamin C and citric acid. These tiny yellow fruits help brighten and cleanse pores without stripping and disturbing the skin’s natural oil balance.
Step 1: In a container, pour 2 tablespoons of honey.
Step 2: Pour a cup of lemon juice into the mix and sprinkle some sugar over it.
Step 3: Wait for the sugar to melt into the mix and stir for 20 mins.
Step 4: Pour the syrup on your butt and spread the paste evenly.
Step 5: Wait for about 15 minutes before you wash it off.
Once a week for a month should get you good results.
This scrub works like a charm not only for butt acne but for stretch marks down there too! Packed with antioxidants, bromelain and vitamin C, pineapples are Mother Nature’s gift to mankind. Whereas salt needs no introduction. It takes care of acne, dead skin cells and scars.
Step 1: Put the pulp of 1 pineapple into a juicer.
Step 2: Pour the juice into a container and add 1 big cup of sea salt.
Step 3: Don’t wait for the salt to dissolve. Quickly pick the scrub up and massage your buttocks in a circular motion.
Step 4: Wait for about 30 till you wash it off.
Once in three weeks should work.
When it comes to treating cellulite naturally, coffee is your go-to ingredient. For this scrub, you can either crush coffee beans manually or use coffee powder - whatever floats your boat. The coconut oil will keep your skin moisturized and hydrated.
Step 1: Add 2 tablespoons of coffee powder in a bowl.
Step 2: Add 1½ tablespoon of coconut oil to the powder.
Step 3: Stir well and apply the scrub to your butt and thighs.
Step 4: Scrub for about 5 minutes, and rinse off later.
Twice a month for the best results.
When these two ingredients come together, magic happens! They keep your skin moist, polished and nourished. When your skin is hydrated, there are fewer chances of you getting acne on your booty.
Step 1: Slice a mango into two and use a spoon to scoop the good stuff out into a plate.
Step 2: 2 tablespoons of olive oil should be poured over the pulp and add 2 drops of your favourite essential oil.
Step 3: For about 2-3 minutes, smear it across your butt and don’t wipe the scrub off until the mix dries up.
Step 4: Head for a warm shower later.
Apple this twice a month and you’re sorted.
Do this twice a month for best results.
With the banana and sugar scrub, you won’t only get rid of acne on your butt, but you’ll also make your skin glow and clear your pores. Since the banana is rich in vitamin E and potassium, you’re bound to make a scrub that benefits your skin the most.
Step 1: In a bowl, pour a few cubes of ripe banana.
Step 2: Add a tablespoon of milk and use the backend of your spoon to mash the banana pulp.
Step 3: Add a tablespoon of sugar and stir well.
Step 4: Apply the paste to your butt and don’t wash it off for 45 mins.
Do this once every alternate week for a month.
