Looking for new manicure inspo? We’ve spotted a fun nail trend in Jeremy Scott‘s show at NYFW. Yep, we’re talking about orbit nails. While the trend has surfaced earlier, it is only gaining popularity now. Most of us know the orbit nails as ‘outline nails’ and I’m here to tell you that they’re not as hard to do as they seem.
If you’re comfortable with a paintbrush, these ones will be a cakewalk for you. Even if you’re not Picasso, this could be a fun weekend DIY Nail Art project, don’t you think?
Depending on your artsy-ness, there are 2 methods you can use to get the look.
Method 1: For the almost Picasso’s
Paint your nails using any colour of your choice and let it dry. Use a fine brush, any fine brush from a stationery store would do. Dip it into a shade that you would like to ‘outline’ your nails with and begin outlining! It will take a little patience to get the line just perfect but don’t lose hope.
Method 2: For the art-averse, you do it in reverse!
Paint your entire nails with the colour you would like the ‘outline’ to be. Using the second shade, cover the centre of your nails leaving just the slightest bit of outline visible from all corners. That’s it, easy peasy!
