The 70th Emmy Awards 2018 came with a whole lot of surprises that we will be talking about for a long, long time. From an on-stage proposal to Game of Thrones taking home the award for Outstanding Drama Series (the third time in a row BTW,) – this year’s ceremony was bigger and SO much better.

The Super Romantic Live Proposal
Glenn Weiss took home the award for Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special but that’s not all. He jumped on the perfect proposal opportunity. He actually proposed to his girlfriend, Jan Svendsen, who had accompanied him for the ceremony.
