The scrapping of section 377 has been received with so much gaiety all across the Indian community, proving #loveislove. While a girl came out on camera to her parents on a red-letter day, 6th September, a South Asian girl, Priya Arora has married the love of her life in a 3-day long queer Indian wedding. As a fact, it was a few days before the scrapping of 377 and we couldn't be happier about the sequence of events.
The wedding between Priya and Reema took place in Cancun, Mexico. The 3-day affair was attended by all their friends and family standing in support of their love story. The same-sex marriage took place on August 25, 2018, a few days before the SC gave the radical plea.
The couple seems to be having a good time as their bridesmaids sprinkle them with flowers.
"Every moment with you has been a gift. But the greatest gift of all was defying all odds and overcoming every barrier to make this impossible dream a reality: a full-on, 3-day queer Indian wedding. With the immense blessings and support of our families, we have embarked upon something greater than ourselves—a marriage of two souls, two families, two hearts, that have now become one. All the fairy tales are true... we just had to edit them a bit. Loving you and laughing with you is all I want to do for the rest of my days," Priya captioned her post.
