It’s the middle of the year and I’m itching to colour my hair. I was doing my favourite thing, scrolling through my Instagram last night and I found this video.

Meet KL Christoffersen, one of the first hairstylists to have pioneered the art of fluid hand painting. So we know balayage where hairstylists use their hands to colour our hair but fluid hand painting is a bit more, well, creative.
With the help of a neck table, they hand paint your hair on a large white surface. Not only is it more controllable but perfect for sombre, mermaid hair and beautiful highlights.
Fluid hand painting is now being widely done in the US and parts of Europe.
And the results are fab.
