They say that as the season changes, so does the texture of your hair. I didn't think that was true until I experienced it. Ever since the Rain Gods have arrived, my locks have become dull, dry and frizzy. Of late, I've been losing hair as well. To be honest, I can't just blame the weather for my hair's condition. Playing around with different hair products, change in diet and styling tools have taken a toll on my hair as well. I'm actually on a break from using chemical based products. I now make my own hair masks at home using natural ingredients and I'm impressed by the results! Here are some of my favourite ones:
1. To The Land of Milk And Honey
When milk and honey come together, they become an unstoppable force! This mask will supply your locks with moisture and shine. Plus, it's super easy to make!
Step 1: Pour 2 cups of milk into a bowl and 2 tablespoons of honey.
Step 2: Use a spoon to mix both ingredients well.
Step 3: While washing your mane, pour this mix over your scalp and hair.
Step 4: Put on a show mask and chill for 15 minutes.
Step 5: Wash your hair with lukewarm water.
Twice in two weeks for a month is good enough.
2. For The Love of Avocados
Whether it's eating avocados or applying them on your mane - I'm game for both! This fruit is perfect for women who have dry and frizzy hair.
Step 1: In a bowl, add 2 large scoops of avocado pulp.
Step 2: Add 1 mashed banana, a teaspoon of curd to the pulp and blend the ingredients well.
Step 3: Use the same spoon or your fingers to apply the paste to your hair.
Step 4: Keep it on for 30-40 minutes.
Step 5: Once the paste hardens, wash it off with plain water.
Once a week will fetch you positive results.
3. The Sweet Scent of Strawberries
From root to tip, a strawberry mask will moisturise your hair. Plus, by the end of it, they'll make your hair smell so fruity-licious!
Step 1: Mash some strawberries and drizzle olive oil over the pulp.
Step 2: Add 1 egg yolk later and mix all the ingredients well.
Step 3: Use a brush to apply the mask all over your scalp and hair.
