It was a day filled with love, laughter, and lots of cha-ching yesterday. When it comes to festivals, I think girls love Rakshabandhan the most, mainly for two reasons, apart from spending some good quality time with your family – you get to dress up in your best desi outfits, and get envelopes flowing with cash (duh).
Now, we know Janhvi was excited about wearing Indian wear too. The Dhadak actress was spotted in Rakhi pictures as the ONLY one in a desi ensemble.
The whole Kapoor khandan got together for Rakhi, this time, barring sisters Sonam and Rhea Kapoor. Everyone, including, Harshvardhan, Arjun, Anshula, Shanaya, Jahaan, Khushi, and Janhvi Kapoor celebrated Rakshabandhan together, this year… but the only one wearing a suit here is Janhvi.
Looks like Janhvi Kapoor loves Indian wear just as much as her late mum and veteran Bollywood actress, Sridevi.
It is common knowledge that Sridevi had a soft spot for Indian wear and boy, did she always pull it off like a queen. Janhvi Kapoor’s 3 piece outfit is proof she is just as fond of it as her mom.
Her grey and burgundy Indian outfit consisted of a kurta with a matching floral embroidered jacket over it, and a pair of wide-legged burgundy pants. Simple but pretty, Janhvi’s look didn’t need a dupatta, making it an easy wear, and was clubbed with eclectic leather chappals.
While Janhvi put on a desi ensemble, her family was in casual western clothing. And this is not the first time the young Bollywood actress has been spotted in Indian wear. Janhvi chooses Indian wear for most of her travel and trips about town too – and she looks lovely in them.
All we can say is… like mother like daughter.
