A few months ago we saw actor Sumeet Vyas pop the question to Bebo in Veere Di Wedding but little did we know that just a little later we’d be seeing him do the same in real life too. That’s right, the Mikesh Choudhary we all fell in love with while binge watching Permanent Roommates has now found a soulmate forever.
Sumeet Vyas got engaged to small screen diva Ekta Kaul who came to the forefront with her show Mere Angne Mein. Rumours were afloat of the engagement back in March after the bride-to-be posted a few mushy pictures on social media, however, nothing had been confirmed. Now in a recent interview, he has finally admitted it saying that he popped the question a few days ago.
The Parched star said, “Ekta is a beautiful person. I decided to pop the question a few days ago and slipped a ring on her finger before she could change her mind! I am glad she loved it and has accepted my proposal. Unfortunately, I got the size of the ring wrong, which can be expected from a guy like me.”
The wedding is supposed to be an intimate one in Jammu, the dulhan’s hometown. While talking about both of their families he said, “My family really adores Ekta. When we met her folks in Jammu, we were floored by their love and hospitality. We were like, let’s not try to compete with them. We are planning a warm and intimate wedding ceremony.”
Even Ekta in an interview gushed about being in love, she said, “Marrying the man you love is a great feeling, but tying the knot with your crush is an achievement. I am happy that I am marrying Sumeet.”
According to sources the two met during a promo shoot but only got to know each other once Sumeet’s divorce was finalized to actress Shivani Tanksale.
